re: Got Fortune'd: White Toyota Fortuner Edit: Sold!

Congratulations getsurya for getting the finest SUV in the country today.

Though they have increased prices beyond comprehensible levels but that has a lot to do with govt. policy and extra duties plus the dollar rates. And when I compare that I got the same hardware for 21.40L on-road just 2 years back and yours must be touching nearly 30L with accessories, this SUV is seriously touching unreasonable pricing category, and still selling like hot cakes. The icing on the cake is almost free servicing costs compared to the initial cost price.

You will enjoy the vehicle, to which I have no doubts. It will be niggle free for sure but Toyota is surely charging a bomb for reliability.

Congratulations once again...

HYD BLR midway is easy peasy. Any day that you feel like with a day's notice.

That is some interesting stuff from the US, but why the drill kit?

Good good, the day you put the RR kit, I will take a stroll with the BOSS and decide if I should sign the dotted line...

Keep the miles churning.

Hi dkaile, Thank you for your warm wishes and a well documented ownership of Raptor. I have gone through your ownership report at least couple of times.

I agree that reliability is coming at a price!

Congratulations!
Hi Nilanjan, Thank you for your wishes. Your threads and the amazing pictures are such a pleasure to go through. Will try to keep the momentum to the possible extent.

Hi Dev, The drill kit is multi-purpose and also serves as a machine for the wheel buffing kit. I have picked up the 20v rechargeable B&D drill kit to suffice easier DIY's at home.

We shall plan a NH7 meet and watch this space for the RR kit feasibility.

re: Got Fortune'd: White Toyota Fortuner Edit: Sold!

Congratulations on a great buy. Having owned a Silver Fortuner for the past 6 months and driven 9K miles, I have still not felt the need to look at suspensions.
I have driven during the monsoon's to Kokan at least 6 times (Road conditions during Monsoon change to off-road conditions) and still everything seems to be in top notch. The only change I have made so far is changed the Stock ICE to Caska for the GPS. That upgrade has not gone very well. I have another thread which I am reporting on my experience with Caska & Mapmyindia, any advice there will be helpful.

Hi Jumbo, Congratulations to you as well and thank you for your wishes.

On the ICE, that is what concerned me and also felt that the OEM HU is pretty good. It is made by Panasonic and has nice audio output, which with a decent amp should do the trick.

Shall visit your other thread to read the full information.

Happy motoring!

re: Got Fortune'd: White Toyota Fortuner Edit: Sold!

Hi,

I visited the 3M car care center in Hyderabad and had opted for the paint sealant treatment for BOSS in WHITE. More details on the thread link below,

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/other-...hyderabad.html

Also, please find the pictures of the interiors or the accessories worked upon BOSS. The PLIP 080 was installed using wire tappers, it comes with its own siren and hence doubles up with the stock security horn.

The stock DVD clarity is good and wish the screen was slightly larger than the current one.

Nice clicks Surya... your BOSS will be the Boss on the road.

Are the Reading Lamps LED or the stock ones?
The TRD badge & tube valve caps adds to the looks.

Hi Bibin, thanks for your kind words.

I have changed all the interior and the license plate bulbs to the original Philips Cree white LED's. Costed close to Rs.4000 for all. The looks are worth it and I never liked the yellow interior bulbs, that I have changed to whites even on the earlier rides.

Hi Guderian,

Most of the stuff is all light weight and replacements. The audio component is the one that adds to the weight . The subwoofer box is detachable for making space for long drives(similiar set up existed in my earlier mHawk).

FE- need to watch this area.
