Why don't you just mail BMW and ask them directly? They are pretty quick in replying back. This has actually been a point of contention with few people maintaining that the warranty is not void by changing to tubeless and few people feel otherwise.

Don't worry only your warranty related to tyres will be affected. which includes suspension warranty and tyre etc. In any case tyres and rims are not included in BSI. they are included in secure which wont affect you as its an insurance issue and not related to BMW. you will deal with Bajaj alliance for that even if your trye or rim gets damaged. the changing tyre warranty exclusion can include brake pads and discs too technically as changing that is covered under BSI. But practically when you get it done after 3-4 years they might not even remember or note it and just change the pad or disc. Im not sure if you have even taken 5 year bsi ultimate. Taking a 2 year bsi is practically useless as the service cost is totally predicatable in 2-3 years. its only in the 4-5th year you get some benefit regarding warranty or service when the pads discs etc are changedor some parts may conk out.

Yup basement parking it is. Had to get the angle of the incline changed as the BMW used to touch at one particular point while entering or exiting the basement. Now its perfectly fine. Can't hold 10 cars but around 7.

Altis is still my daily drive and hence the picture. The day that changes to the bimmer, the picture would be accordingly changed.

I used to think when people refer to their BMWs they must be saying 'beamer',
To me 'bimmer' sounds odd, but what is it actually ? And is there any particular reason for that ?

BMW cars are referred to as Bimmers, while the bikes are called Beamers. That's what I've been told.

Coming back to the car,

Do Mercedes or Audi or Jaguar provide run flat tyres, even if as optionally ?
If not, has the run flat tyre technology been jointly developed by BMW and the tyre company specifically for its own cars only ?

Even Volvo comes with run flat tyres only. There is no spare tyre there too. Audi and Mercedes however still use tubeless tyres AFAIK.

Hey have you got any paint protection done on the car? what is advisable and what are the costs?

True, but now even they are only providing a 'donut' spare tire. It is a thin 155 tire good for only 50/80 km/kmph. Once used its life is gone and you have to buy another at exorbitant cost. So then how are the RFTs that bad?

I haven't opted for any paint protection. Have never used them on any of my cars and I am of the Opinion that the quality of OEM paint is good enough for a decade or more importantly for 5-6 years after which I anyways sell off the car. However I do have opted for the 3M exterior detailing annual pack which costed me around 11-12k Rs ( don't remember exactly). One of the components of this pack is the following :
Paint Sealant Advanced: Quantity: 1
Exterior clay wiping.
Surface preparation with 3M 2000 grit.
Exterior compounding.
Exterior Polishing.
3M paint sealant application.
Bumper dressing.
Tyre cleaning.
Glass cleaning.
Dry Vacuuming.

I would personally not recommend you to opt for only the paint protection unless you have hard water supply.

This has been debated so many times in so many threads. RFTs are much more superior to regular tubeless tyres when it comes to safety. Period. There are no two ways about it. But they are also much more costlier and more prone to get damaged on our roads due to there stiffer side walls. So its upon your own personal choice.
