H22 is an overkill indeed. Hence the question mark. But I am sure someone will come up with it soon once he is bored with his B16 with boost. Lol.

Hey,

How about letting us know the mods that you have done on your car over the months over and above the stock B16A as well as the power diff each mod made. Also have you done any kind of testing after the mods with a G-Tech as I would be very keen on knowing the 0-100 kms and 1/4 mile timing.

Would also love to see your updated engine bay pics. You are aware that I am also going to be modding the B16A motor and would love to know what all can be done and what gains each mod makes.

Congratulations on a fantastic car 'Ford Rocam' ... Absolutely Fabulous
The review was one of the most helpful things I've read in regard to what i'm trying to do.

I too want an engine swap but was a little worried about the stability and rigidity of the car. I have about 7 lakhs to spend but at the same time wanted something that would bolt on to the chassis.

So my mind is between the D16 block or the B16A or B16B like you had suggested. I don't intend to take the car past 180hp and i was going to completely strip the car setting up a full on roll cage.

Could you please advise me as to which block would be a suitable fit & what would i have to look into for a matching transmission set up?

Also who could help me as a mechanic and a tuner?

Thanks

Cost of OHC Vtec 1.5L Yr 2001 = between 4.25- 4.5L power you get 106 Bhp

Landed Cost of Engine + labour + Miscellaneous components =2L (actual cost to me +- 10K)

Cost of OHC 1.3L Yr 2001 with JDM B16A = 3L + 2L = 5L
Minus cost of 1.3L engine with gearbox which i sold off for 45K = 5L-45K = 4,55000/=

So Net cost to me for
OHC Vtec with B16A = 4,55,000/= with factory gauranted power of 170 Bhp.

now you compare indian Spec Vtec engine the cost & mine car cost with B16 the price difference will be hardly anything between +- 15K, but i have got a solid foundation to start with.

So what ever mods you do on both like suspension/brakes/clutch/turbo etc will be common to both but the output result will be totally different between 1.5Vtec & B16 Dohc vtec.

Rocam

Anyone done a K24 Swap in the Honda City. People have done it in the Civic EG. So should be possible in the City.
