Indeed. Wiper blades come under wear & tear items. They should be replaced at least once before the monsoons. However, I find the need to change them twice, even thrice a year since the wipers don't clean the windshield completely for long,

Also here is what went down one weekend.

50,000 Kms up! In about 2 years & 7 months, No issues with the car mechanically, However small niggles continue to pop up, Most common one being with the touch screen system, It resets all the settings to default every time you start the car, Rattling second row of seats are like always a pain to ears when there is no one sitting on it, However its on the mechanical front the car shines & the reasonable servicing costs (Or maybe i feel that after paying 15k for just an oil change for the 530d?) I never had to start the car twice or had a puncture (Touch wood) She drives great and serves the purpose of being the primary go anywhere car and will continue to be for a few more months, Or atleast till Ford decides to bring in the minorly facelifted version of the Endy!

The car still looks beautiful, had you been in delhi, would've definitely picked your car up.Btw, what's with the endeavour facelift that's not there in the current one to satisfy you and don't you think the current one would have better deals?

Endeavour would be 2 year old just about in a month i suppose, The amount of changes ford is doing with endeavours recently we can expect a minor facelift or perhaps a few more goodies soon, Something in the lines of,

• full LED/Xenon headlamps & fog lamps
• passive keyless entry & go
• black/brown interior colour option
• steering reach adjustment
• driver knee airbag for the 2.2L Titanium

But lets see, Even all this is nitpicking really, I just want some concrete news if the facelift is nearby.

How is the rattle and the interior plastic holding up in comparison to your previous XUV? At the same price point, would you buy one again?

Lets get one thing out of the line, Plastics even in the previous generation wasn't something that it would fall off, It would rattle at some places on bad road and looked cheap and many places, However its been rectified in the new age one properly, My XUV right now has 55k on ODO and its only the second row seats that creates the most of rattling noise when someone is not sitting on it, Apart from that all good!

Definitely! Nothing gives more VFM at this price point, PERIOD! I have used 2 XUV 500 in my life till date spanning for about 6 years & 1,40,000 KMS in total and i have NEVER had any mechanical issue with the car, I was never stranded on the road because of the car, Which is what matters a lot instead of cheap plastics and rattles. :thumbs up

However when it comes to me right now, Dad is in love with the X5 M sport & i am not complaining! :D

But won't it be a kind of repeat , I having another 30d at home?
I would say have a look at something like the Velar or f pace too, as they feel more special or even the Q7 for that sense of occasion.

No doubt about it, I would still happily buy a more VFM looking top end Endeavour rather than a x 2.5 Priced X5 M Sport with the same motor as the 530d, If i did not have the 530d, X5 it was all the way! But with the 530d already in the garage, It Makes less sense, But Dad does not want a Endeavour.

None of them will cut the cake for our requirement, We need a 7 seater, Have used a previous gen Q7 extensively in the middle east so not very keen on that, None of the Merc's interior are appealing for me and for dad as well, So right now the only option remains is the X5. Lets see how things work out..

How is the XUV 500 going? Any servicing done at the one at the start of the year?

Also have you decided on which one will replace the XUV for you?

Hey, Yes the car was recently serviced at 50k, ODO is around 55k as of now, So next servicing at 60k only, The car is doing great with no issues at all.

Heart says X5 M Sport, Head say's Facelifted Ford Endeavour, Lets see, I have decided to wait till the Updated Endeavour is a launched, Will take a call then. :thumbs up
