Agree but never had that tested

For the first time ever yesterday, cheetah was stand still for more than 24 hrs! Well deserved rest I guess owing to Ganesha Festival - sitting nicely in the parking -

I observed another first - in Goa, diesel is more costlier than what I see in bangalore I had never pid attention to this and always used to feel happy about petrol being 10₹ cheaper! This is first time I feel sad of paying ₹350 more for a tank compared to bangalore in addition to ₹250 state entry fee!

Agree with BlackPearl Even i don't see this issue with my old Gen W8. Many times I Switch OFF Start/Stop button while on Run. It never power Off the entire system only the feature will be off.

I was referring to engine being on, not while the vehicle is on the move. And yes, nothing should happen if the start/stop button is pressed while the vehicle is on the move.

PMK-MoJo, I think you are referring to the micro hybrid feature Start/Stop button, but here we are talking about the start/stop ignition button which is available in W10 model of the New age XUV

I paid ₹46.44 per litre for diesel at a BP bunk today. Cheetah gulped around 51 litres of diesel and tankful to tankful method of FE computing tells that on Bangalore - Goa drive the FE was 11.79 kmpl!

After performing Ganesh Visarjan today, tomorrow is local Ganesha Darshan tour and Sunday we head back to Bangalore home.

Ciao until next update

re: Ownership tales of Orange Cheetah, my 2015 Mahindra XUV5OO W10 FWD. EDIT: Sold after 150,000 km

I grew up in Maharashtra celebrating Ganesha Festival like no other place! The Ganeshotsav celebrations in Konkan region are the best to be witnessed. Club the trips with Monsoon and you will return happy, satisfied and cheerful!

This ganeshotsav was no exception, we had been to our place in Sanquelim. The celebrations in big pandals like the one below are the reasons why we visit this place!

Apart from crowded beaches, the places like Aravalem (15°33'04.0"N 74°01'36.4"E i.e. 15.551110, 74.026780) where you see beautiful temples and waterfalls is a unique sight! Kids enjoy a lot in water and they don't care if its a river, fall or a beach

Monsoon brings the best out of Goa in my opinion. This trip across Chorala Ghats have many such sights -

The picture above are of Queriem water reservoir you can see in Chorala. The pictures are taken from phone and modified to reduce size. Looks like they are not as magnificent as they look original.

And as always, taking this beast on the road - be it highway or twists is always a pleasure. The highlights of this Bangalore - Goa - Bangalore drive was this new Orange Cheetah! We loved the drive on NH4 and in ghats equally. The vehicle was planted all the time on all kind of roads. There is no sign of fatigue after driving non stop for 5-6 hours. Occupants in middle row were never so comfortable before!

After thoroughly enjoying our drive, we are ready to kick start another one next month and that too much more longer.

As on date the Cheetah's Odometer shows perfect 6000 Kms! I have few videos from the dashcam that are worth sharing. They will be uploaded later this week and shared in subsequent posts.

Hey Avinash, isn't the same bulb available in Amazon.in for ₹850? Just searched for " H7 55" in Amazon.in and saw this Phillips extreme vision H7 55W bulb for ₹850. You please try and give feedback on any improvements, then will order from Amazon.

Thats not 130% throw. Its regular 100% throw. It's not in stock on the www.amazon.in site. There are multiple H7 55W varieties from Philips itself. The ExtremeVision has regular 100% and 130% series I believe. After seeing its not available in India, I asked my friend to source it from USA. Could have searched on other sites too, but this was easy and quick thing. I do so with many other equipments - either I pick them from stores (like Advanced Auto Parts, Cycle Gear etc.) myself on my trips or ask this dear fried to do it online for me.

EDIT - there is this version on india site - http://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B015...f_rd_i=desktop

And the one I purchased is this - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QJWTQYY/...657650_TE_item

Both seems to be different ones and I don't think I have an idea of which one is right buy :(

Spec wise both looks identical. Apart from the fact that one is a pack of two bulbs and the other ships as single piece I guess.

For the heck of it, I ordered the bulbs from Amazon India website. And i got this email -

Quote:
Dear Mr. A Birnale,

This mail is to inform you that the item ordered by you has no manufacturers' as well as sellers' warranty and a non-returnable item (if you open the blister pack or the box). Rest we assure you that it is a 100% genuine sealed item.

We hope you have checked the specification of the ordered item (H7, 12V, 55W, Base: PX26d) for its compatibility with the manual of your car/motorcycle before placing this order.
--
Warm regards,
Team @ TheCoolio
So I guess apart from packaging the warranty is something that is not covered and returns after opening package are strictly not entertained.

I have anyway ordered both bulbs (USA and India sites) - I will see which ones work better and keep others as spare

Just noticing the US Amazon order of yours. You have ordered two packs. I guess that makes 4 bulbs, are you planning to get both high and low bulbs replaced?

I was thinking you were only replacing low beams.

Hey Suhas. No, I just ordered it to keep spares already. Worst case if I don't want there will be at least dozen of XUV owners I know and meet would take it happily for cost as-is. So took the gamble.

And guess what, now I will have 6 bulbs, three pairs! You buy a car and spend big time but then there are many such deliberate purchases for the very same car that will amount slowly to another big one
