Mine is too, Makes me curious to know why only one ORVM would be auto-Dimming? Kind of defeats the purpose if even one of them will distract you.

BMW removed the auto dimming on the left (RHD market) and right (LHD markets) from their LCI F10's and F30's.

Got the Wheels of my BMW 530D straightened at : TYRE MACHINES, VISHNU GARDEN, NEW DELHI. The car is now handling really well. These guys did a great job with precision. Also at the places where the alloy was repaired they had a pro paint job also done. Name of the person is Balbir Thukral. Mobile no : 9810012561 and 9910923413

No they didn't. I wonder where you got this info from? The F30s in India never had passenger side dimming mirrors (only the 328i did). The LCI F10 very much has a left side dimming ORVM.

I own the 318d pre LCI and while test driving, had an opportunity to drive the LCI. Also, check the F30 forum for more info. Iam surprised how the indian LCI got this and not the EU models. This was copied from Audi and Mercedes whose facelift/MoPf don't have the co-drive mirror dimming feature anymore.

I have the 2013 F30 (Pre LCI) and it has the auto dimming feature for both the ORVMs.

Sharing few pics.
Can you try engaging the reverse gear after toggling the switch that is used to select the "side" of the mirror for the adjustment? If I recollect correctly, the switch needs to be toggled to Passenger side to engage the ORVM dim (I cant remember)

I dont have the F10, but I'm assuming the logic is similar and I stumbled upon this accidentally.

Best,

Azeem

You are talking of the auto dip feature. The mirror switch needs to be on the right side (drivers side) and then the left mirror dips when reverse gear is selected.

Oh man! That's absolutely correct. My bad. Totally confused dim and dip.

I'll let you wise men figure this out, I'll go back to the sidelines admiring the conversations.

In the BMW X1 F48, the passenger side OVRM isn't auto-dimming. Even in current 330i GT it isn't.

Does BMW make auto dimming passenger side OVRM for X1 F48 and is it possible to install/retrofit?

You must reward their good job with an entry for them in the Team-BHP Directory. This will greatly help other BHPians looking for similar services.

Pre LCI F30 has it. So does mine. The car in discussion is F10 (5 series). So before I say something let me check with my friend who owns an F10 LCI here. I'll post here once I get an update.

Edit: UPDATE: Sorry guys, I was wrong. I got confused between F30 LCI and F10 LCI. The 5 series facelift does have the auto-dimming mirrors on both sides. The auto-dimming and dipping feature comes in Germany as a part of the extended mirror package as optional extra

Re: BMW 530d M-Sport (F10) : My pre-worshipped beast

While unrelated to this vehicle, I was looking to get my amp repaired in my F01. Any leads on if there are good electronic repair folks for these amps?

Also is there a list of folks who can repair parts on the BMWs or do a better job than the authorized shops once you are out of warranty?

Which amp is this? Do you have a make or model?
