re: 2 years / 20,000 km with my Italian Stallion : The Fiat Punto Evo 90HP

I see you have bought it from Fiat Caffe. Sorry for the double post. I am unable to edit my previous post.

Could you please let me know the minimum booking amount for Punto ? You mentioned as non-refunable 25 -50K.

If you have time to spare, you can also perform the polish / wax by yourself. After all with a car like Punto, you may want to do it. It is much more therapeutic. After a tiring polish and wax, you would be more happy to see your shining beauty than from a 3M car care.

Hello amvj,

The car was bought an year back. It was picked from Fiat Caffe in Pune.

I guess you found a contact for your discussions on the dealer to pick your car now .

Cheers,
pdma.

re: 2 years / 20,000 km with my Italian Stallion : The Fiat Punto Evo 90HP

Hello and thanks for the read,

Yes of-course it was bought from Fiat Caffe, Koregaon Park.
Booking Amount - 25000 INR (Non refundable in case of a cancellation)

When did check last with Pandit Auto & SkyMoto? Why were they closed?
Might be some holiday.
Fiat Caffe is just a showroom, Skymoto is the dealership name.

The guy who dealt with my delivery was a very nice person, unfortunately
he has left working with that dealership. Or-else i would have shared his contact details.

Please ensure their commitment of delivery, they might be slightly off their actual commitment dates.

Warm Wishes for your new ride
Welcome to the Fiat club

How was the experience with FASS in the past one year with your stallion? Specially considering that you are coming from a MS family.

Please compare the seating positions of Swift and Punto. I am 5 11 and currently drive a WagonR 1.1. Do you think I will be comfortable with Punto in the long run?

re: 2 years / 20,000 km with my Italian Stallion : The Fiat Punto Evo 90HP

This post seemed a long time coming, sorry for that.
2nd service completed. Fiat Service Guys @ SkyMoto Akurdi, didn't give in good attention but all jobs enlisted for the service were completed. Wheel alignment and balancing not done.

Drove 860kms to Bangalore during Diwali, was an epic drive

My Odo reads 16600 kms as on today. Happy Ownership till now.
New seat covers Fitted.

After a gap of 3 weeks my car was not looking good to take out for a drive.
It looked Dusty and dull.
After 3 weeks of none usage :

re: 2 years / 20,000 km with my Italian Stallion : The Fiat Punto Evo 90HP

Reaching out for some tissues. Drool Drool !! Why, Why Fiat ! What on Earth do you want? You have customers who want to buy your cars, but they don't because you are so shy and quiet and hidden.

Man, every time you post more pics of the car, i call my dad trying to convince him to let me buy a Fiat (He drives a Punto and is frustrated with the waiting period for simple spares to arrive. To add to it, he is an automotive insurer with very friendly contacts across all dealerships and garages, and his point is, if i am facing these issues, you'll be in a worst situation). But that steering and suspension and that thick solid metal is worth everything.

One day i'll just walk in a Fiat cafe and buy one. Ops, I live in Mumbai. Shivneri kaha se nikalti hai ?

re: 2 years / 20,000 km with my Italian Stallion : The Fiat Punto Evo 90HP

Congrats Sudeep!. Whenever I see a new Fiat customer I get to think,'Thank God! Intelligent people still do exist'. I get a good feel that now one more family is safe on road. Three of my friends are convinced with Fiat and one of them have already bought a T-Jet(upgraded from i10), another one is hunting for a used Linea(upgrading from swift), third one is desperate to get rid of his 2 years old i20 to get a Punto.

The durability of this car is second to none, you can easily drive this car for another 10 years without breaking a sweat. I replaced my T-Jet's gear and clutch assembly and believe me now it feels exactly like the way it was on day-1 some 5.5 years back.

Enjoy another million miles ahead .

re: 2 years / 20,000 km with my Italian Stallion : The Fiat Punto Evo 90HP

Just booked mine (Tuscan Wine) this week. And the 20 day waiting has started

I feel this is a good upgrade to my 1.1 Palio Stile Petrol (Magnesio Gray).

Palio's gear shifts are better than what I test drove on the Evo 90 hp.

Turbo lag evident of course. Sudeep's ownership report is spot on on great NVH as well as lousy ergonomics.

Want to know if there's anything new to watch out for in the 2016 model of 90 hp.

Cant i play music over Bluetooth from my phone? That sucks

But i just felt it is a great car overall, for me, engine, build, suspension and steering mattered most and this is quite simply the best hatch at this price available now

re: 2 years / 20,000 km with my Italian Stallion : The Fiat Punto Evo 90HP

Am being told by my dealer that Blue and Me contract is over and Fiat may well ship upgraded audio console (the one that Punto Abarth comes with). They already started shipping those with Linea

Upgraded audio console will have Bluetooth pairing for music.

Expecting my 90 hp midweek next week. Will update when I get it

You Punto certainly looks smashing. 16K in one year is a good usage. Any issues in the car after this usage?

By the way, do you still have the swift? (I remember driving your car in BBSR, on the infosys road, somewhere in 2011)

Now you should be able to guess who i am.
