That XL6 wearing the birthday hat is the highlight of the day. Even shared this pic on a Whatsapp group, and everyone is talking about the owner, or the XL6.

Many congrats for achieving this feat man, 21 years on and the GG is simply looking hardly a month old - appreciations for your effort man, accept my salute.

Finally we have a BHPian, who is actually building a heritage!

The Lucky Few, would be my ode to the most well maintained cars I have come across till date.
I cannot even imagine the effort you've put over all this years, kudos and respect.

Wishing many more happy years/kms ahead

Although I'm a bit late to the party, but Happy Belated Birthday GG. May you always shine and keep chunking miles as you have done till now.
Also Kudos to Shashi bhaiya for maintaining it so well.

The XL6 wearing the cap is just

XL6- GG, why do you always get so much more love when compared to me?

Congratulations Shashi on keeping the M800 spick and span for more than 2 decades. I suppose, it’s one of the most pampered 800 in India. Wonderful clicks.

We sold our August 1998 M800 after keeping it for 2 decade due to non usage and parking space issues. I still regret it. It’s a classic which was nicely chugging along even after 20 years.

Wishes to GG for at least couple of decades more

Congrats on your beauty turning 21. It looks like it was taken delivery only recently. The first thing that came into my mind when I saw the 800 was the line from the first transporter movie.

"I always say, the way a man treats his car is how he treats himself"

Kudos on maintaining the car in pristine shape.

I don't think my 21st birthday was celebrated with this much fanfare! Amazing job of keeping your car going for all these years

Hello Leo,

Can you point me to the work that you had done on your exhaust, I tried searching and was not able to get the product that you had used to get the silver color.

Hi Shashi,

Congratulations on completing 21 years with this wonderful car . This is one of the most immaculate M800 I've seen in my life . I've been reading your thread from the start since the past week and I'll have to say I salute your efforts in maintaining this beauty . We also own a M800 5 Speed EX which will turn 21 this August , that is our first and our only family car which is still going strong *touchwood* . Forgive my ignorance but can you please tell what is the difference between a DX and EX version .

Regards,
Murtuza.

EX was STD version plus Rear Coil spring setup and factory fitted radial tyres. DX was EX plus Fabric upholstery, AC, Split rear seats, vanity mirror, covered door trims etc. Also 5 Speed version was available only with EX and DX trims initially. 4 Speed was available in all 3 trims. I had posted brochure of M800 in this thread, you can refer it for more details. Hope it helps.

In some other news, I started GG yesterday after almost a month. She was covered after her birthday in March, and then my family got hit by COVID pretty badly in April end. So she remained neglected for more than a month.

Surprisingly, the almost 6 year old Amaron had enough juice to start her in one go!

GG hasn't been forgotten: Agree I don't post many updates these days, but that's largely because of the rainy season when she is staying hibernated for most part. And when the sun sometimes shines, I don't miss the opportunity to take her on a drive:

In some other news, got HSRP from Patna RTO. Have planned some quick drives around the state once rains get over.

When she isn't being driven, she still occupies the prime space, well protected by the TPH covers :

Oh man !! The way you have maintained this sweetie is really commendable. I wish I could have done that too.

BTW, is the 15 years petrol car validity rule not taken seriously in your place ?

There is no such rule applicable in India, except NCR market. My 800 has it's registration renewed till 2025.

Nice to see an update on this thread, I was starting to wonder if all was well with GG . Regarding the HSRP, personally not a big fan of them, but I guess we have to follow the rules.

Outside NCR, there's no such rule anywhere in the country. Even our 99 Omni has every papers valid .
