Its readily available at my MASS, checked just now. Packing month is January 2017.

A word of caution though-don't use both individual mats and full floor mat one above another. The individual mats are very light, so they tend to move around easily.

6 months service interval?? That's weird!!

So finally the injector cleaner was delivered yesterday (that land rover site sure takes a long time to deliver) and added it today morning. It has made a difference - the engine seems to be smoother now and also can feel a little increase in power (actually wasn't expecting anything). Remains to be seen how long the effect lasts though. I'm now wondering if it really cleaned something or whether it just enhanced the fuel (in which case the effect will wear off very soon).
Regarding the service interval.. well within warranty I didn't want to take a chance. Honda services interval is every 6 months/ 10000km whichever comes first. Once the warranty ends I'll probably do it every 9-12 months. How's your 800 doing buddy?

Yes Landroverlab takes a bit longer to ship, but their packaging is simply brilliant.

One thing which has impressed me about Liqui Moly's is that all their products seem to work. People may call it snake oil etc, but the products of Liqui moly are to be experienced to believe.

It's fine, Thank you. A few interesting upgrades coming soon, probably by the end of this month. I'll leave a teaser and leave it to the readers to do the guess work.

The upgrade will be from the LHD M800, and an OEM addition. Hint is in this pic

And for those who are wondering how will I manage to get the spares, here is something for them as well.

My guess, either rear wash and wipe or defogger, similar to setup on Varun's 800, right !

It will be something which hasn't been done on any 800 in India. And the beauty is that it will be done using OEM parts. Absolutely no jugaad/aftermarket spares.

Keep guessing.

Regards,
Shashi

PS: Varun's 800 doesn't have a defogger.

Right, Varun's car doesn't has defogger. Is it something related to boot release mechanism ?

PS: My guesswork ends with that rear fog lamp/stop lamp fitted on bumper.

I don't know what the injector cleaned in your new Honda City. If it did make difference I guess you use very poor quality of fuel although I don't know how stuff gets past the fuel filter. My uncles first gen k10 swift has started running rough after possibly using poor fuel over years.

6 month service interval seems too low, is it the second service you're talking about?. The engine oil is changed every 6 months?

The DX variants had ELR seatbelts, atleast in 1999-2000. Standard 800s had non retractable ones I guess(as it said non ELR type in brochures).

I can help you with the part number of ELR seatbelts though, if you need them.

Regards,
Shashi

Yes please, along with prices.

On the other hand, could you please also let me know if sticker around the blower speed switch on dashboard is separately available as OEM part.

For front seats, ELR Type

Part Number: 99000M99157
Part Name: Kit Seat Fr (L&R), ELR Type
Compatibility: M-800
MRP: Rs.1852.60

For rear seats(Will require drilling in C pillar)

Part Number: 84904M843A0
Part Name: BELT ASSY RR
MRP: Rs.711*

* Since price is so low, I guess they are static type for the rear. If I remember correctly, 800 had static belts in the rear. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Remains to be seen if the additive effect remains with the subsequent tanks of fuel. I mentioned my doubts about this in the above post as well. There is a difference with the additive, but I am not sure what it is attributable to. And yes the service interval officially is 6 months/ 10000 km for Honda. I guess with synthetic oil and low running, one can easily stretch it to a year if they wanted. But it's definitely not ideal with mineral oil, I think. So far I have done all the services as per the warranty schedule (1 month, 6 months, 1 year, 1.5 year)

Guess it comes as a part of the black speedo housing since I couldn't find a separate part number. I'll confirm if the housing has that sticker in a few days since I have ordered that part(for the upcoming project) and it'll reach me in a day or two.

Shashi

Excellent, I think that one of the two switch provisions on the right hand side of the speedo console will be used for defogger, any idea about the purpose of the second one?
