Cheers!!
oh you read my mind there !!!
I spent my whole day looking for aftermarket alloys for my Fire Red Zeta... and Tadaaaaaa

http://www.alloywheelsindia.com/prod...0/35/h_713.htm

I think i found the perfect match, the PCD and Width are same as stock alloys, so i wont be facing any issues with the warranty.

Will try to procure them from few dealers in hyderabad. Will update the thread on developments...

Haha.. I too went through the same buddy. To be frank, I am still confused with stock Ciaz alloys vs aftermarket. Momo Revenge would look sweet on baleno and but priced a bit high IMHO.

My Baleno is under the recall list for airbag software. According to my SA, It is just an update of new software code and would hardly take 15 minutes. I am planning to get it done next week.

I saw a Baleno with body kit yesterday. It looks pretty good. I couldn't click picture. Body kit includes front underbody spoiler and side skirts. Rear spoiler comes as stock in Baleno. I called my SA and price quoted was 23K(approx) which includes painting. Body kit + blackened stock alloys/Momo revenge/Ciaz alloys is my plan during 10K KM service.

Finally, got the airbag software updated today. It hardly took 10 minutes. SA connected the laptop to OBD port and software was updated.

Regarding the dent on door, SA said paintless dent removal is not possible and also full door painting is required.

I have noticed misting inside headlight assembly. It is present on both sides. I will push for replacement under warranty. Maruti, is this the quality of your Premium Hatch?

Guys,
Which one would be a more practical buy -- Vitara Brezza VDI or Baleno Zeta 1.2 Petrol -- predicted mileage per month ~1000 KM. Car will be used to visit places having bad road -- though only occasionally. Thanks in advance.

The definition of 'bad road' varies according to situation. The Baleno's rear end sags considerably when loaded, so it might kiss the speed breakers/undulations at certain places.

If ground clearance is of utmost priority, Brezza it is. Why not check the EcoSport out?

Ride quality of Baleno is little bumpy at rear on bad roads while Vitara Brezza handles it with ease. Baleno Zeta is pretty loaded with almost all features compared to Brezza VDI variant which is base variant. Your comparison is between cars of different segment and petrol vs diesel engine too. With running less than 10K KM per year and present price difference between petrol and diesel is less than 10 Rs, I could say petrol car is practical and Baleno petrol gives amazing fuel economy too.

re: My Maruti-Suzuki Baleno Zeta Petrol | Now Wolf'd | 6 years & 42,000 km done

Thanks a lot for the replies.

I do understand that they are different fuel types. Feature wise -- I think -- comparison should be between Brezza VDI (O) and Baleno Zeta 1.2. Baleno is cheaper -- though it is petrol but good FE. Brezza has a better GC -- that takes care of occasional bad roads. However cost of ownership and handling wise -- Baleno would be better 80% time / use (other than bad roads). Deliberately not getting into looks -- both are good looking. Thinking only about functionality.

Bottom-line -- I am thoroughly confused.

Go for Baleno Zeta petrol. It is VFM variant. It is priced only 10K more than top of the line Swift ZXI but gets many additional features too.

Brezza is a different segment car and in that segment I find Ecosport, a, better option.

That's really sad. You are entitled for a warranty replacement, but before that, kindly check the rubber seals which are behind the bulb. It gets misplaced sometimes, letting in water and moisture.

Regards,
Shashi

ORVM, ROOF & SPOILER WRAPPED

I got ORVM, Roof and Spoiler wrapped (Carbon Fibre) from VM CUSTOMS, Mangalore. It costed me 4500 Rs compared to 16K (approx) quote by 3M.

A complete black wrap of the roof makes all cars look like 'headless", IMO. Either there should be a contrasting sunroof, roof rails or carrier.

IMO, Baleno is not a car which is mod-friendly. Unlike Swift, the design is very "sedate" and matured. You need to do a "photo-shopping" or "visualize" it yourself before you go for too-much mods, IMO. Keep rocking!
