re: My Maruti-Suzuki Baleno Zeta Petrol | Now Wolf'd | 6 years & 42,000 km done

I drove around 300 KM today. There were 3 people in car. Mom found the back seat more comfortable this time, thanks to full suspension change under warranty. Even with heavy right foot, I managed to get 16.5 kmpl.

Filled ~25 litres regular petrol from HP bunk, reset all meters and left Mysore

re: My Maruti-Suzuki Baleno Zeta Petrol | Now Wolf'd | 6 years & 42,000 km done

There was minor sound from AC blower motor. I got the car checked at Maruti. They removed the blower motor and cleaned it. The sound was still present. Dealer has agreed to replace under warranty. The part has been ordered.

Thanks to a biker, there is a dent on rear left door. I have decided to get it fixed. Body shop guy told it's not possible to do PDR and full door painting would be needed. Approximate quote is Rs. 3500. I found it very reasonable. I will get it done along with AC Blower motor replacement

I certainly hope you get this to work . Went to the service centre a while back for this and they told me it is not possible , although I think it can be done.

I have seen new Dzire steering swapped in Baleno. It worked perfectly and was direct fit. I do not like fake wood finish on steering. Steering of new Swift is perfect .

Brilliant, knew it would be possible. The incompetence of the service centre never ceases to amaze me .
I am getting this slight crackling kind of sound (like when you rub a plastic bag together) when i turn the steering wheel. The service centre told me it's the coil inside and is common, wasn't convinced. Any idea what it could be?

I have read about this issue before. Culprit was steering column and replaced under warranty.

re: My Maruti-Suzuki Baleno Zeta Petrol | Now Wolf'd | 6 years & 42,000 km done

New Swift steering details :

Steering wheel (Z+) : 8.5k
Airbag module : 3.5k

Total : 12k (not really expensive for steering with airbag)

My plan was to swap steering wheel from demo swift and check if everything works out. After the experiment, parts would be ordered. I had been to service centre today. The swap did not happen because sales guys took away the car. They have assured me that they will do it in another car and send pics.

Update :

I just got news from my service guys that the swap is successful. It was direct fit. Airbag couplers also matched. All the steering functions are working perfectly. Really happy about this news.

The interior looks simple and elegant. . Any information on where was these interiors done if outside or is there a package from MGA? With the new swift MGA released few packages. Didn't heard for baleno. Thanks in advance.

re: My Maruti-Suzuki Baleno Zeta Petrol | Now Wolf'd | 6 years & 42,000 km done

I drove from Kasaragod to Mysore yesterday. The weather was really nice, I was enjoying the drive. I was just 50 KM away from Mysore and front right tyre bursted. It was stock Alnac 4G tyre, run around 19.5k km. Speed was around 80-90 kph, I heard a loud sound and air leaking out. It was a deserted place and very dark. I was driving alone. I did not have anything except mobile torch .

The most scary part was about changing the tyre. Few vehicles just went very close to me even after putting hazard lights and warning triangle. I put the spare tyre and drove to Mysore. Spare tyre is 15 inch MRF.

I inspected the tyre today and there was no visible damage outside. There was no cut or any foreign object.

What is the culprit?

If you observe carefully, there is some damage on alloys wheel. Tire bead above it has got 2 cm linear tear and air leaked out of it. It is not visible from outside. I should have hit something on road. Luckily nothing happened to me or car. It was shoulder puncture in S-Cross few days back and now I am having tyre bead tear in Baleno.

I got 2 new tyres (Yokohama BluEarth), Wheel Alignment and road force balancing done at Madhus Bangalore.

I have not driven much with new tyres. They are installed at rear. I could feel good difference in comfort levels. I expect the performance to be also better than Alnac 4G

re: My Maruti-Suzuki Baleno Zeta Petrol | Now Wolf'd | 6 years & 42,000 km done

The car is back to Kasaragod home now after ~1000 km trip. No issues to report, All is Well. I am very satisfied with new Yokohama BluEarth tyres. I can't wait to put the same even at front. Tyre noise and ride quality are miles ahead of stock Alnac 4G.

I got to try Shell and Reliance petrol. I am a big fan of Reliance diesel, now very impressed with Reliance petrol too. Throttle response and engine smoothness was better than Shell.

I was stopped 3 times at Bangalore by traffic police. All thanks to UV cut glass, it appears really dark . The car was gifted few more scratches in Bangalore traffic, I do not even know how.

New scratches

Bangalore and Scratches are like bread and butter .

Have seen police removing the sun films if its too dark. How did it went, particularly thrice you have got stopped. Or they stopped because of other state registration vehicle?
