Engine feels smooth compared to mineral oil. I had used Mobil 1 0W 40 once and it was the smoothest. It costs around 3500 rs. Mobil delvac 5W 40 has better rating and costs little more than MGP Mobil oil.

Hello guys,
I was little short of 1 lakh kms when I wrote the review. Today I crossed the 1 lakh mark, 2 weeks prior to 5th anniversary of my BEAST.

Excellent review!

I recently purchased a used SX4 ZDI 2011 for my dad and am yet to check out the car in person.

If it is not too much trouble, can you please let me know the part number for the OSRAM night breaker headlights? Did it require a relay to be installed?

Thinking of picking up a set to get it installed when i visit India.

Thanks buddy!

Osram night breakers did not help much. I am planning to go for projector setup, confused about custom or aftermarket headlights. Osram night breakers have same wattage like stock and no need for a relay. There is no part number. I bought it online. It's Osram night breaker H4 headlights.

re: My 2011 Maruti SX4 ZDi - Remapped by Wolf Moto, EDIT: 10+ years & 1.3 lakh km done

Hello Team,
I am planning to install projector headlights and DRL in my SX4. I do not have much knowledge on projectors. I have contacted few dealers and yet to decide.
1.Xenon planet : FXR V3 projectors along with kit and installation costs 24k (DRL costs extra which is around 8k)
2.Projector headlights.in bangalore : Projectors with angel eyes and installation-25 k
3.VM customs Mangalore - AES projector with surrounding ring, DRL and installation - 22k

All 3 dealers provide warranty for their job. VM customs is way cheaper and it is 22 k along with DRL. It would cost only 14k for projectors along with installation.

DRL: 7k
M8 4200k HID bulbs with ballast for fog lamps-3.5k
Installation charges-2k
Satin black wrap for ORVM - 500 rs

re: My 2011 Maruti SX4 ZDi - Remapped by Wolf Moto, EDIT: 10+ years & 1.3 lakh km done

Hello Team,
I have run 1.01 lakhs now. There was oil leak in left front and rear shock absorbers. Today I changed all 4 shock absorbers. I had bought TRW shocks online. I got it installed from MASS. Car feels more stiffer now and handling is slightly improved with little compromise on low speed ride quality.

Also I noticed very minor wheel bearing noise. It turned out to be rear left bearing. To my shock, bearing is integrated with hub and ABS sensors which comes as an unit and costs 13k. I have postponed wheel bearing replacement for now.

Rear wheel bearing assembly

P243 OBD2 code-High turbo boost
I was accelerating the car above 100 on 4 laned highway. When I touched 120,SVS light flashed and car went into limp mode. I tried readin the error code using my OBD reader and it failed to show any errors. I took the car to MASS and error code was p243-turbo boost high. Turbo boost pressure was increased during remap and there was no malfunction for last 7k kms. I got the code cleared and tried reciprocating the same. It did not show up again in last 100 kms.

We're the MASS guys able to determine to cause for this?
You mentioned that your car has been tuned. Did the tuner do some dyno runs? What I have seen here in US is that the maps that are available on the shelf called as OTS maps are region specific for fuel octane rating, climate and altitude. Turbo engines are generally very sensitive to climate changes as I have seen that the max boost generally varies with different temperatures. Do check the wastegate actuators and the solenoid too.

During remap, turbo boost was increased. But my tuner increased the boost limit also in map. So it will throw error code only if boost crosses that limit. It happened only once in last 7k kms post remap. I am planning for a dyno run soon.
Cheers

Within 2 weeks post installation of AES projector kit, left side projector got stuck in high beam. I was offered one year warranty. Headlight assembly was opened up again. They corrected it for free. I was told some spring was stuck and it's minor issue. I hope it doesn't happen again.

re: My 2011 Maruti SX4 ZDi - Remapped by Wolf Moto, EDIT: 10+ years & 1.3 lakh km done

I got my headlamps aligned/adjusted by MASS. I am running with AES projectors. Alignment was nowhere near perfect before. Now it's better, but set a bit high. I am posting the pics of low and high beam.

There was sudden loss of power and car wouldn't respond to accelerator input. Turbo was not switching on. Car gets back to normal after I restart the engine. Various sensors, fuel pump, EGR solenoid etc were changed and problem couldn't be sorted out. This issue was there till 85k kms and had not recurred in last 15k kms (touch wood)
Hi Naren, sorry to hijack your thread, but wanted to check with you regarding a problem i am facing since today. Whenever I try to accelerate past 80kmph, the SVS light switches on. On restarting the car, the light goes off and everything is back to normal. But today, i could feel that the turbo was not kicking in at all. Left the car parked in my office for half and hour and drove again with the obd2 dongle connected and app running, the SVS light came on again at around 85kmph in 4th gear, no error code on checking live data and everything was normal including the turbo kick.

Planning to get the turbo hoses, fuel relay's, injectors and various sensors checked in a day or two. At normal city speeds, the car feels normal

Any inputs?

All error codes are not picked up by OBD scanner. Better take to service centre and find out error code. It will be stored in history. Which car are you talking about?

The SX4 D Zdi. I am planning to take it to the service center today or tomorrow. Fuel economy and low speed performance is fine. Need to get it thoroughly checked. Thanks for the reply.
