I was using 2 bottles ( 100 ml x 2 ) for every tank full. Seller had recommended to use 2 bottles for tuned cars and 1 bottle for stock cars. I had used it 3 or 4 times.

The packaging is different now, It comes in 300 ml bottle. Do ask the seller regarding the volume to be used

I've placed an order for 2 of those. The seller is recommending 300ml per tankful. But I read somewhere that it is recommended to use 1ml per litre. So was confused.

I believe the recommended mixture is mentioned on the product label

Guess I'll just have to wait for the delivery then. I'll update after using on how it feels on a 80k driven car.

I know few more S-Cross owners who have faced the same. The leather steering in my Baleno is of better quality.

Somewhere in Kasaragod

It was fun exploring an unknown place without using google maps.

re: My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha : Stage 3 Wolf (~200 HP / 420 NM). EDIT : 5 years & 72,000 km up!

I got to drive my S-Cross after a month and the drive was good as usual. I got 15 kmpl too for 110 km drive from Kasaragod to Manipal. I had decided not to use the car till I complete the hardware mods.

But...

Front KYB shocks have landed at Manipal
My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha | Stage 3 Wolf (202 HP / 438 Nm) | EDIT : Sold - Pg 61-img20190711wa0034.jpg

Wolf also has an update for my stage 3 map. Rahul would be visiting Manipal tomorrow , need to get the new map too. Service center has ordered rear suspension beam, hope to get it changed by end of this month under warranty. KYB rear shocks are still in Dubai, yet to find someone who could hand carry it.

What's pending ?

1. KYB Front shocks
2. KYB Rear shocks
3. New Rear suspension beam
4. BMC DIA
5. Borla Pro XS Muffler
6. Intercooler upgrade (yet to find one)
7. Water Meth injection (waiting for a friend to experiment first )

re: My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha : Stage 3 Wolf (~200 HP / 420 NM). EDIT : 5 years & 72,000 km up!

Bad News:

I went to Mahindra First Choice service centre to install front KYB's. The mechanic noticed that front strut mounts were weak and advised me not to install KYB's because I need to remove the struts again to install the new mounts. There was lot of play in mount when the tyre was shaken sideways. Local MGP store did not have the part in stock. He also said that the tires might have uneven wear due to bad mounts.

I did check the tread depth and mechanic was spot on. Inner side has more wear.

My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha | Stage 3 Wolf (202 HP / 438 Nm) | EDIT : Sold - Pg 61-img20190715wa0029.jpg

Above pics are of Front Right tyre. The wear is similar even on left side.

I have run only 6k Kms on these tires. But, I have timed the car many times for Stage 3 map testing which also means lot of high speed braking..hence the wear is more. Rear tires have minimal wear.

I will try to get new strut mounts and bearings soon. One more sad news is that Wolf team member won't be able to come here this time....Eh, Doctor needs to be patient

These are imported (Made in Spain). I got them within a week from Boodmo. Waiting for other parts like bearings, rebound stopper and bump stop. Hoping to install KYB's by end of the month .

Hi Doc, looking at your awesome experience with Wolf map I am itching to get it for my 25k run Figo 1.5D. With your vast experience with cars can you please shed some light on possible side effects which i need to be prepared for.

@Saurabh
Go for it, all you need to take care of is periodic oil change and air filter replacement. I change at 7K kilometers.
Wolf is good and i am quite happy with the remap in my sx4, its a different car altogether post remap.I enjoy it much more now as compared to before.

Regards,
Manoj.

Wolf has got really good tune for Figo 1.5D. I have driven one and loved it. Just follow the routine periodic maintenance , nothing to worry .

Front KYB's Installed

I got the new mounts, bearings and stoppers from Boodmo and installed all these parts along with KYB front shocks at Mahindra First Choice. They did a good job and labour charges were reasonable, paid around 1k.

Front left OE gabriel shock was dead. It failed to come up on it's own after comparison. Right side was fine.

I will post a detailed feedback after few days. I can say that the outcome is really good. The car is very stable, corners way better and ride quality is more mature.

Hope I get my rear KYB's soon, yet to find someone who can carry them from Dubai. Thanks to my friends Antony, Sheikh and the S-Cross group for KYB group buy. These shocks were made in Czech, shipped to Dubai and hand carried to India by fellow S-Cross owners and friends, totally worth the effort and this turned out to be cheaper than even OE Gabriel shocks .

re: My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha : Stage 3 Wolf (~200 HP / 420 NM). EDIT : 5 years & 72,000 km up!

200 Kms done with Front KYB's

1. Low speed ride is stiffer, but not bothersome.

2. High speed ride is more mature, say it gets better with speeds.

3. S-Cross is well known for high speed stability and it's the same even now or slightly better.

4. Steering is more precise. I like it this way.

5. The major difference is how the car corners now. It's much much better than OE Gabriel. I can easily up the speed by 10-15 kmph than before.

6. I didn't notice any major difference in braking, I guess it would improve after installing rear KYB's.

Overall I am very satisfied and this upgrade is VFM..I got all 4 shocks for Rs.13,125 which is slightly cheaper than Maruti OE shocks .

Thanks for this review Dr. Naren. Since when did you start using this, I mean from what reading on the odometer?

Interested in trying this out in my 27K Kms run (Wolfd) Verna.

One more question - Does the S-Cross 1.6 come with a DPF? I know that you have a down pipe now, so the question is whether you've noticed any difference in black smoke levels under heavy load WOT runs post the down pipe fitment? After my second map update, I was asked to monitor black smoke under WOT but my worry is that since mine has a DPF, will I ever get to see any black smoke at all, even if it gets generated out of the engine. In fact, I have't seen any significant black smoke levels. It used to produced moderate amount of smoke under heavy acceleration even in stock condition.

Found this funny bumper sticker in AliExpress which I can use in case of heavy black smoke
