Modified beam was introduced in face-lift S-Cross. Check the rear wheel alignment. If it's out of specs, ask the dealer for warranty replacement.

That's 4 seconds faster than stock S-Cross 1.6

Hope your car has done ten-thousands of kilometers post remap now. Have you noticed any changes in oil consumption?

My car has run only 5k kms on stock map and 50k kms after remap

I have not noticed any high oil consumption even on stage 3 setup.

re: My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha : Stage 3 Wolf (~200 HP / 420 NM). EDIT : 5 years & 72,000 km up!

It's been more than a month since I drove the car, resting peacefully at my Kasaragod home. I had only switched on the engine couple of times.

I thought of taking the car for a short drive and it was Dead.

Guess what happened..dad had removed the battery and using it in SX4

Currently I am using Baleno and with the lowered suspension it's very much fun to drive. Yes, the S-Cross is much more faster but not even close to Baleno when it comes to handling.

S-Cross has hit the roads again

I got S-Cross to Manipal after 2 months.

I drove around 150 kms and the new type 2 rear suspension beam has made a good difference in ride and handling. The rear holds the line better on corners and the ride is just flat at higher speeds.

Met BHPians kpzen and carfreak at Udupi today

I noticed that my car was smoking little higher , thanks to dashcam footage by kpzen. Changed the air filter, got the one meant for 1.3.

I need to get the new updated map from Wolf , hopefully this week. Intercooler, intake and muffler upgrades are still pending. I will do it after installing rear KYB and may be Eibach Pro kit lowering springs (25 mm drop).

Wolf remap update:

Wolf had come to my place and updated the map. The new map is flawless. There's no jerk on half throttle, better low end and the engine sounds smoother too. I didn't notice any significant difference in overall performance or timings.

Just did casual 0-100 run

Yes, Srikant from Wolf team installed the Europe grill though it took more time than remap, haha!

re: My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha : Stage 3 Wolf (~200 HP / 420 NM). EDIT : 5 years & 72,000 km up!

OE Panasonic battery is still good. But, I put Amaron AAM-GO today. I gave back 6 year old Amaron battery (same specs) used in my SX4. Panasonic will be installed in SX4 .

I got the battery for Rs. 5019 after exchange from Batterywale. Unfortunately, the order got cancelled as they did not have stock in Udupi. I asked them about Mangalore and they had GO version in stock though I wanted FLO. I visited their delivery partner directly and got the battery installed.

Old Battery ( This one had lasted for 6 looooong years in SX4 )

My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha | Stage 3 Wolf (202 HP / 438 Nm) | EDIT : Sold - Pg 61-img20191011wa0028.jpg

OE Panasonic battery weighs 16.5 Kg and it's 19 Kg for Amaron.

No wonder Amaron is known for good life!

To put it in simple words

S-Cross got new Amaron battery
SX4 got old Panasonic battery of S-Cross

Old battery of SX4 was given to dealer.

The car is back to Kasaragod now and I am really impressed with the new update from Wolf. There is improvement in Fuel economy too. I got around 1.5 kmpl more as per MID.

Something not right ? Many S-Cross owners suggested me to remove the black wrap around the number plate and I did. Looks clean and better now after the shave

re: My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha : Stage 3 Wolf (~200 HP / 420 NM). EDIT : 5 years & 72,000 km up!

Dr.Naren, i would like to add a few of my observations regarding my whole experience with the WOLF Team.

I must say that Rajiv and his team specially shrikant are really good, and when i say good i mean there has never been a time when shrikant has not responded to my calls or given me a patient ear.
These guys are so humble it astounds me at times at how customer oriented they are, anything i ask them and they would listen and give me 100% focus.
I must say in today's time this is something rare.

Naren, if you can then please share my inputs to rajiv. I do not have his number or else would have called him personally and told him about the same.

I wish the entire team a lot of success.Keep up the good work guys.

Regards,
Manoj.

Well said, that's why Wolf is my preferred tuner

Broken AC vent knob (need to replace the entire vent, no child parts)

Current status of steering, getting worse every day

Quality of interior parts are definitely below average in newer Maruti cars. I had the same issue of broken knobs even in Baleno. But, the knobs in my 8.5 years old SX4 are still good.

800+ Kms in 3 days!

Route: Kasaragod to Mysore to Bangalore to Manipal

My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha | Stage 3 Wolf (202 HP / 438 Nm) | EDIT : Sold - Pg 61-img_20191105_010910.jpg

Driving time: ~16 hours

Fuel economy: 14 kmpl (this includes crawling in Bangalore city and pedal to metal driving on highways )

At Mysore: Late night date with Kia Seltos

My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha | Stage 3 Wolf (202 HP / 438 Nm) | EDIT : Sold - Pg 61-img_20191104_161729.jpg

My S-Cross cabin felt almost a decade old after driving Seltos haha. But, I forgot all that once I started enjoying the 200+ horses.

At Madhus Bangalore: Road force balancing and Wheel Alignment

My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha | Stage 3 Wolf (202 HP / 438 Nm) | EDIT : Sold - Pg 61-img20191103wa0043.jpg

Good experience as usual. Professional service. Happy to report that the rear alignment values are fine now after new modified rear beam.

I was about to exit Bangalore and punctured the front right tyre.

My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha | Stage 3 Wolf (202 HP / 438 Nm) | EDIT : Sold - Pg 61-img20191103wa0144.jpg

Luckily I found a shop nearby and got it fixed. Nelamangala to Hassan was done really fast. I also enjoyed the curvy roads from Hassan to Manipal, do note that the stretch is not very good..but manageable.

I was just 3 kms away from Manipal, had completed 99.5 percentage of the trip and.....

My Maruti S-Cross 1.6L Alpha | Stage 3 Wolf (202 HP / 438 Nm) | EDIT : Sold - Pg 61-img20191104wa0017.jpg

Thanks to an idiot, I had to move towards left as much as possible and the front left tyre got a very bad hit. The alloy has bent badly, no external damage on the tyre though. Hope the tyre bead is fine. The tyre lost the pressure fully in few seconds.

The recent update by Wolf is really awesome, perfect map it is. Few S-Cross owners drove my car in Bangalore and loved it too.

ODO after the trip

This video was helpful.

I too got panicked when the system rebooted twice and the HU didn't start on it's own. Later, I turned on the HU myself and all is well , just like what happened in the above video. Do note that Maruti doesn't cover SLDA under Extended Warranty as per the recent circular to dealers.
