No online link. Contact the seller directly as mentioned on the post above. He is very responsive and would ship them immediately after payment.

Would like to try it out. I used Abro fuel additive and its definitely worth it it.
Yes, I am also happy. This is an injector cleaner and I would use it every 10k kms or so. Cetane-X can be used in every tank full. It is a cetane booster and helps in better combustion

Its the fuel additive I'm using on a tank full. Costs around 250 per bottle.
The injector cleaner I didn't try since the engine is run less than 10k.

The fuel additive really made a good difference is sound and smoothness over a highway trip.

Ok got it, the one in blue bottle from Abro . I think the results with Cetane-X would be similar.

A very weighty statement, specially from you.

Most of your mods have been inspirational but scary too. Scary because of the uncertainty the changes entail. For most owners with a single car, reliability far outweighs performance. Until the tuners get a hang of things having experimented with a couple of cars, it is always risky to seek their services. Having said that, I think it is the medico in you that allows you to take a plunge into the unknown. I think that just as a doctor looks at each of his patients as a new case which can throw up varied, unanswered challenges, you look at the remaps.

Most importantly, you allow your car to be the guinea pig. If it means a few temporary setbacks to you individually in the larger interests of the tuning enthusiasts, you are game for it. Aren't you?

As regards remap and/or tuning box, I personally would prefer neither. A stock car that can meet my requirements would be my choice. But if I were to choose: unless I can find a really expert opthalmologist who can operate upon my eyes and completely cure me of myopia, I would keep on wearing my prescription glasses.

The internals of a car, like that of human beings, need to handled well; with care, expertise and a lot of compassion.

Haha!! Yes, remaps for S-Cross 1.6 was not perfect by any tuner then. Few of the well known tuners are still not able to successfully remap S-Cross 1.6. Yes I would have lost time and energy, but today Wolf Moto is one of the most successful tuner when it comes to S-Cross. Rajiv has remapped 13 more S-Cross 1.6 after mine. I am happy that way and any other S-Cross 1.6 owner has to spend hardly 2 hours for the remap (I did spend days ).

Well, the internals of the car can be easily replaced or repaired . Mantra for remapped car owners is to follow routine service, not do wide open throttle in higher gears for long duration.

I had been to service centre today to get the battery checked. The car takes long time to start. Dealer told me that battery has warranty till 2 years. S-Cross 1.6 has Panasonic battery and we don't have their dealers in this small town. The protocol is Maruti dealer will inspect the car and give a letter to Battery dealer. They will change it under warranty. I am planning to do this in different city where Panasonic dealer is available. The process would be faster.

Meanwhile, the dealer flashed 1750. 2 file

The dealer gets paid by Maruti, around 300 Rs for each car haha.

I was trying very hard to get service manual of S-Cross. I found out that Maruti has gone digital now and service manual printing is done very occasionally. Maruti sends USB for each car and service manual can be accessed after connecting to SDT 2. This is the service manual access card for Ignis. There is a small thin USB in this card and it has to be removed.

1. How is the exhaust sound after decat? Any difference?

2. Does the car smoke after remap and decat downpipe?

Here is the answer

There is absolutely no smoke when the car is revved in neutral. But I have observed little smoke under load (only during WOT)

S-Cross'd ~1000 KM in 2 days : Mission Goa!!

It was a sudden plan and I drove to Goa with my brother. We left home at around 9 30 PM and reached Goa check post by 3 AM. The drive was good, S-Cross performed brilliant. There was not much traffic and I was heavy on the pedal. Thanks to it, I got only 14 KMPL .

The roads are good till Kundapur. After that there are lot of diversions, construction work. We can still maintain good speed, but need to be careful (diversions every now and then).

We were stopped by 2 cops near Ankola, all they wanted is drop till Karwar haha. It was fun, they gave us many details and tips. I dropped them at Karwar and headed towards border. Since it was late night, I was stopped at both Karnataka and Goa check posts. I was asked to show all documents and then enter details in the register.

We were very tired and there was nothing to do in Panjim. We went to Calangute and checked in at Oyo room. There is a paid parking lot at Calangute. It is not at all maintained properly (coming up later in the post).

This is the only 3M store in Goa and it's opened only a month back. The staff were very friendly. They even managed to accommodate my car ASAP and get the work done. I opted for UV Protect treatment. Their work was top notch. It was the best I had ever seen in 3M store. Foam wash, interior vacuum, dashboard dressing, engine dressing, tyre dressing and wax.. All for around Rs. 1380.

We spent some more time in Goa and left same day. The diesel price in Goa is almost same as Karnataka, not much difference. We left Goa border at around 7 pm and reached home by 12 30 am. It was fun, we did not spend much time in Goa.. But I got to drive a lot in 2 days haha.

Total KM : 940
Average FE : 15.6 KMPL
Average speed : 60 KMPH

Current ODO : Crossed 29K KM during this trip.

S-Cross 1.6 performance : 10/10 (Thanks to Wolf remap, car was lot more fun too)

Hi Naren, good update.

Seeing all the mods you have done, I would suggest you one more - an aftermarket sun roof. It will enhance the looks multiple times, imo.

Aftermarket : That's the catch here. There would be guys who are professional and execute it properly. But I have heard many issues with aftermarket sun roof and compromising on structural rigidity. It would have been nice if Maruti gave it as OE.

Coming to cosmetic mods, these are the things in my mind..

1. 17 inch alloys (Momo Massimo is my favourite)
2. Euro grill
3. Smoked headlamps

Why do I feel that romeomidhun has, in spite of what you said above, planted a seed that is very likely to germinate sooner or later. Someone somewhere would come up with an S Cross specific sun roof and the rest would be taken care of by the Gods of Car Mods .

Driving to Goa and spending precious few hours at a 3M outlet could be a new record in itself. But then, those who have an inkling of the way your relationship with the car has been, will understand that this is just another day at office for you .

I would spend on bigger turbo, better intercooler and direct air intake.. No to Sunroof

Hahaha!! My brother was very irritated because I wasted few hours at 3M store . We were in Goa for only 40 hours. Goa was just a reason for me to drive.

An open sunroof can give you the roar of a turbo while cooling the interiors with a direct intake of all the fresh air.
I know I deserve this -> for the comment!

Who wouldn't be?

Sometimes, we Bhpians behave strangely - to the consternation of our friends and family. Recently, the vehicle we were travelling in had a puncture in the middle of nowhere. While everyone got worried and started looking around, half expecting a wild beast to jump at us, I whipped out my phone, started taking photos and analysing how a sufficiently healthy tyre could get deflated and deformed within seconds .

So, nothing too extraordinary in your visit. Plus, it resulted in a new entry in the Directory section. Hope it will be of help to others.

Nice try. But I am not getting sunroof . This is something which I strongly believe that it should be OE and not after market.

Google search gave me location of 3M store. But, posts on Team BHP were missing. After the good experience at the only 3M store in Goa, I felt it's necessary to add them in directory section. Hope it is useful.
