Can you please let me know what you feel about NVH in scross 1.6 and if you are noticing vibrations on clutch pedal?

The turbo rush is addictive, I am planning to book the car, but am concerned about the issues I mentioned above.

Would be great if you can say some words on this topic
S-Cross test drive cars do not have stickers. Those cars might be abused. I do not find any vibrations on clutch pedal. NVH levels are good compared to other cars from Maruti stable, but it is nowhere near to Creta. I suggest you to drive the car from different Nexa dealer.

1.6 S-Cross will never ever disappoint an enthusiast .

I just drove Linea 125s, I feel that even the jet is no match to S-Cross, when it comes to the turbo rush.

Also the ride and handling in S-Cross is very matured.

Only NVH seems to be between me and booking the car.

I will try another car from a different dealer. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have not driven Linea 125S. That's a good compliment for S-Cross 1.6 . 110 NM extra torque should be the reason.

I'm just getting to test drive a few cars now after 7 years with my i10, so I'm not very experienced but really? Did you really feel Scross handled and felt better? The turbo aside, I felt like the linea was in a different (higher) class in handling and ride quality compared to S-cross, which btw is still a great car.

Almost on par, if not on par.
My existing car is a Punto 2010 model. Linea 125s was my first choice when upgrade was considered.

The moment I opened the door of new Linea, I was disappointed, it doesn't feel as sturdy as the pre 2012 models.

Also the test drive guy brought a customer car, brand new, I guess, after removing number plates. So I didn't test the handling part a lot, however, I did test s cross well, over a couple of longish test drives, and don't have any concerns at all. The car is pretty stable.

Hopefully my s cross gets delivered today, thanks Dr. Naren for your inputs.

S-Cross feels pretty confident on corners. I am still running on stock tyres and those JK's always make noise on corners. I do not push the car much on corners, so I have not gone for tyre upgrade.

Congrats!! Happy to see 1.6 S-cross raining on our forum

I have just crossed 5000 KM and it's time for 2nd free service. I have remapped the car from Tune O Tronics and had tried 3 different maps in last 1000 KM. Present map is very aggressive and also I get very good FE, provided that I am gentle on throttle

I have driven more than 5000 KM and second free service is done. I had taken the car to KVR Kasaragod without any appointment at 11 AM and the car was ready by 12 30 PM. It's good to see special attention for Nexa cars. Bill was Zero. It was just inspection, fluid top up and wash. Totally in love with my beast and it's doing great with TOT remap.

Present ODO is 8000 KM plus and have driven around 4000 KM post remap. My running has increased a lot after remap . I have driven around 1000 KM in last one week. I have installed XP Micro fog projectors and the output is massive. I have got very good FE under normal driving.

Shoddy Job by 3M car care, Mangalore :

I had wrapped ORVM in gloss black and PPF application on door edges and handles. After 6 months, I have noticed that there are bubbles and peeling off at edges. I am very disappointed.

Hi,

Its better not to remove edges of film, I had done to same thing on my own and does not look bad with the edges.

Thanks for the suggestion buddy. I will visit them soon and check if they would rectify it free of cost. Also the PPF has become little yellowish and very prominent on a white car .

Very surprised it lasted for 6 months( just on a lighter note). I had applied the ppf hardly a month ago in 3M and the films applied on the bumpers have already having few bubbles and started peeling. I am not sure on the warranty but surely make them replace the same free of cost! As mentioned by you in other post pls ensure they replace it.

Sad to hear that it did not even last a month . I was not given any warranty card for PPF/Wrap. I was given warranty card for sunfilm on SX4 though. I suspect poor installation and not quality of 3M material in my case.

Brake Pads Upgrade??

I have been searching about good brake pads since last few weeks. Post remap, car picks up speed really well and I find braking inadequate. Initial bite is missing.

Online spares portal sparesncare has given me 2 options : Brembo and Roulunds. It is not listed in their website, but they will source it for my car

Brembo brake pads : Brembo is well known brand for performance brake pads. But, I have seen many claiming that Brembo sold in Indian market is low quality/ fake. It costs 3000 Rs. Seller has assured me it's original and full refund if there is any quality issues.

Roulunds brake pads : They have started manufacturing in India. Seller has assured me that performance would be better than OE pads and costs only 1060 Rs.

Which one should I go for?

Also the brake pads for S-Cross and SX4 are same. I have both of them in my garage .
