Hey, had a question about the intercooler. Did you purchase the core and get the welding etc. done by yourself or was it sold as ready to use for S-Cross? I'm interested in getting the Garrett core IC for the T-Jet, but the ready to fit ones sold by the Garrett dealer is a small one rated for just 310 HP as opposed to the larger one you're using rated for 475 HP. Hence the question.

I got the core along with end tanks. Garrett sells only intercooler cores, end tanks are made by Stellar turbo. Please check with them for 475 HP core with end tanks

I suggest you try Monroe rear shock absorbers. They are usually better built than OEM.

Thanks. Yes, I meant to ask if the product was sold with the end tanks by the local distributor or was done by yourself Good that they are doing that for the bigger intercoolers too. I will check with them for more details. Trimming the crash bar for a bigger intercooler is something that Abarth owners have done too. Thankfully your post reminded me of that so that's something I''ll have to check with them as well.

Please don't do this. A, 7 core 550x140x65mm IC (similar to what the Dr. has fitted) will easily fit in place of the original IC with minimal modifications to the facelifted Linea. I don't think anything larger will fit without modifying the bumper or the crash bar.

Yes, I definitely wouldn't want to trim the crash bars. That was one thing I wanted to check with Stellar

I just checked the specs on the Garrett site. The one Dr.N has seems to be 610x163x76. The 310 HP plug and play ones for the T-Jets sold by Stellar is 457x163x76. Since the 475 HP one is larger only in terms of width, I feel it should fit the T-Jet without trimming, especially since the stock one is 750mm in width (I think I had got the stock dimensions from you).

The smaller one (5.6l) would be great with stock turbo, but might become insufficient in our hot afternoons if turbo upgrade is done.

Stellar has 475 HP core with end tanks which is bolt on fit for Abarth Punto. I am not sure about T-Jet. Do note that the dimensions mentioned on Garrett website is only for the core. Overall width will be more after fabrication of end tanks.

The 550mm is the core length without end tanks. You will have trouble fitting a longer IC if you want to retain the two OE metal 'U' bends at the end that wrap around the radiator.

I just checked with Mr. Binoy (Stellar Turbo). They have 475 HP bolt on intercooler for Abarth, no need to trim the crash member. Linea T-Jet has different brackets and he said bolt on IC (475 HP) is possible if they get to work on a car in Bangalore.

I have driven more than 1500 km after installation of silicone hoses for Garrett Intercooler. Performance is too good

More details on Garrett IC here:

S-Cross 1.6 dyno session details can be found here:

Oh. I had noted down the overall dimensions somewhere and misread it as core width. Thanks for the correction. Since the larger Garrett one needs just 3cm more on each side, I hope it would be possible without trimming.

This is great. Thanks. Let me reach out to them once I can find some time to travel to their place.

Quick scenic drive to Agumbe!!

Drove to Agumbe yesterday. Lowered S-Cross with 130 mm GC could manage few bad patches . Performance and Handling was brilliant while climbing the ghat.

Enjoyed the beautiful view and lovely weather

Around 25ml is required to treat 10l of diesel and it will boost cetene number upto 8 points. I can use this for 3-4 tankfulls and it costs only 850 bucks in Amazon.

I could notice immediate improvement in engine smoothness. Smoke level is also lesser. Cold start is quicker too. Loving this product

Very informative thread.
Recently bought Michelin Primacy 4 ST (215/55/R17 94 V) for T-Roc.
I hope your tyres are still serving you well. How is the performance of tyres in terms of wear/puncture/ cuts etc?
Are they prone to cuts/puncture on bad roads?

Michelin Primacy 4ST is a good all rounder tyre. P4ST doesn't really have very soft sidewall and they can manage most of our roads with ease
