| ![]() Been quite busy over the last few weeks. Havent found time to type out a detailed update. A quick update is that Sunny has been working on my car for the past 5 day (yes! 5 DAYS!). He has sanded the hood, polished it, and coated it with 2 coats of Kamikaze Miyabi and 1 coat of Kamikaze ISM. He finished the work yesterday and this is a video I took this morning. Am I happy? Goddamn yes! It looks fantastic. Yes, there is a bit of a paint mismatch but that cant be avoided. I will always hate that goddamn hooligan for making my 6 month old car look mismatched for the rest of it's life. Anyway, given the situation, I am quite happy with the final results. BHPian | ![]() Looks cool, The video resembles one of those teaser videos where the actual car is not shown and with all that amazing detailing done on the car I can only see reflections of the sky, trees and houses. Would like to see more of the car from a distance next time ![]() |

| ![]() Excellent thread, Nikhilb. With high mileage done in a short time, the car seems to be holding good. Sorry about the vandalism, a really painful period. Good to see that you had restored it to the maximum extent possible. How are the MRF Perfinzas holding up? Looks to be good alternative for P3STs / MC5Ts. |

| ![]() Crossed 23,000 kms yesterday. ![]() This mark took 7 and a half months. Given that I did the first 8000 kms in 45 days, this is proof that my driving has slowed down a lot. ![]() Time for my 3rd oil change! Have got the Motul Xcess 8100 delivered to my office and am planning to book an appointment for Thursday morning at TAFE. The car continues to munch miles like it's nobody's business. The way it covers distances is just mind-boggling. I visited Hyderabad over the weekend. A bit apprehensive of visiting Hyderabad and staying in a hotel. I was supposed to go drop my friend at ISB. ![]() I had half a mind to just drop him, take a U turn and drive back to Bangalore. The car may have healed, but my wounds are still raw! ![]() Anyway, my friend booked a room for me at the Radisson Hitec City. The owner of the hotel is a friend of his and they ensured that I got a prime parking space diagonally opposite the hotel lobby. A big shoutout to the hotel management for understand or at the very least tolerate my craziness! ![]() I woke up the next morning, checked out and drove back. The drive back was uninteresting but a very fast, quick drive. Thoroughly enjoyed it. This visit to Hyderabad was a true test of the practicality of the vRS. We loaded up every inch of the vRS. Folded down the rear seats and crammed as much as we could into this space. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The car behaved beautifully on the drive to Hyderabad. I was pleasantly surprised that we did a good job of loading the car and there was absolutely no noise of bags or stuff moving around and distracting me. My car looks stunning now post the detailing. There is some paint difference visible in certain lighting conditions(especially in the shade) but in bright sunshine the paint matching looks perfect. I am not going to worry or think anymore about it. But in spite of my best efforts, every time I see my car parked in the shade and the paint difference is visible, I feel really really angry. A 7 month old car now has mismatched paint thanks to one psycho in Hyderabad. Just a random collection of photos of the car below: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Nikhilb2008 : 17th April 2018 at 20:42. |

| ![]() Parking is what I always look for while booking a hotel or resort. Holiday Inn express in Gachibowli is one on the few hotels with a basement parking. I have gone to the extent of calling a resort/hotel and ask them to send me parking area photos on whatsapp. ![]() I normally dust the car off with the Jopasu, use the waterless wash to get the bugs and other dirt off and cover my car up with the TPH cover( a worthwhile investment) for hotel and resort parking. Takes 20-30 mins for the peace of mind. |

I was quite carefree till the vandalism at Ramoji Film City. I have a TPH cover for my Civic too.... Wanted to buy one for my vRS but I find it too cumbersome. But yes, it may make sense in such situations. Also, if it rains when parked, the cover gets wet and then it's an royal pain to remove it, fold it and pack it in the bag.

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() We all are paranoid of some thug deliberately vandalizing our price less beauty, when Nikhil had posted those pictures, I was like...numb for few minutes. Post a long drive and at unfavorable places, I always let the car stay dirty, doesn't catch the wrong attention and once I am back at base, its all shiny. I also try to tip any of the chauffeurs who are hanging around their saheb's wheels and ask them to look after my car, those Rs. 200 are VFM [paisa vasool.] |

Is it possible if we get vag approved engine oil like motul or liquimoly during a standard service ? Don't they create fuss about it ? Also do they record like "customer got outside oil" or something in the service record ?

| ![]() Went on a drive with some fellow vRS owners on Sunday on the erstwhile NH4 towards Chitradurga. A friend, Yash, had a drone and captured a couple of very nice pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The drive had a total of 13 vRS's. One of whom turned back at the breakfast point due to some prior commitments. 12 of us then drove from Tumkur's famous Pavithra Idly shop to Hiriyur and then turned back. On the return leg, I had a leaky valve and had to stop, fit the spare wheel and carry on at a maximum speed of 80 kmph. ![]() ![]() ![]() This was the time I got to test the behaviour of the car with one bike tyre and 3 car tyres! The car honestly felt fine. I didnt try any stunts and drove safely and carefully back home. Got the leaky valve replaced today at the store and now, I'm back to running on 4 full size tyres! ![]() Overall, an excellent drive with like minded people! Below pic taken by fellow TBHP-ian Suraj or someone sitting in his car! ![]() Other random pictures taken by me. Quite a nice sight to see so many vRS on the road. It was really epic. At one time, there were like 3-4 vRS in front of me and another 3 in my rear view mirror. The road was empty and at certain times we just spread out across the road to allow the photographer in the car ahead to get a good picture. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Quite an amazing sight. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Stunning! I like all the colours but must say the white and grey were looking exceptional. Must have been fun hearing the various 'farts' at redline upshifts and downshifts :-) That parking spot right next to the main carriageway was avoidable by the way. Just too close to the 100+ tractor trailers; just needs an absent minded driver staring for too long at the cars lined up. Strolling around on the median also is dicey! Better choose a safer place next time. |

| ![]() Wow. wonderful sight it is. I am sure everyone on the road would have wondered what convoy was that and that too when elections are about to happen. The drone shot showing all the cars in a neat row is great. So some Rs 3 crs worth of cars together. ![]() |
