I use a Karcher K3. It runs off a regular 5A plug point at home.

Yes, you can. But some people say the ABS sensor gets affected and ABS acts wonky.

My car keeps munching miles with ease.

It has now crossed 25,000 kms.




With relaxed driving on the highways, it continues to give excellent fuel economy.




After a wash, it looks absolutely beautiful.




I got a bottle of CarPro Spotless to take care of any water marks that are left behind after a wash. I noticed some after a car wash a month ago, but after my most recent wash, I didnt notice anything. I think the difference was that I had tried some new car shampoo but during my most recent wash, I went back to my tried and tested Sonax Gloss Shampoo which seems to have ensured ZERO water marks.

Actually I would I have mellowed down when it comes to munching miles in the past 2 years, thanks to my reduced travel to work. However, shuttle runs to places around and beyond the state are still regular which compensates for the loss otherwise! I am only 300 short of 1.5L mark since past 4 days and if I was driving to work I would have reached it today itself. Goes to say how I wait for a Friday with baited breath!!

Wonderful to see Nikhil actually munching miles and going places. That's making full use of a real powerhouse like a workhorse! Remember that his Civic visited the Himalayas and an sure this too will indulge in something amusing in future.

I am sorry to keep harping on and on about the fuel economy on a powerful sports sedan/notchback but it is very impressive when driven with a light foot!

Just take a look at the trip reports after a leisurely highway drive on Airport road towards Bagepalli Toll booth and back.

The last reading with 208kms was taken well inside the city. So, you can account for about 15 kms of proper city driving.







Apart from the fuel economy, the car can be fun when you really push the throttle. I was on a drive on NH209 Kanakapura Road the other day with my dad. There was a truck ahead of me and I didnt have space to overtake so I was calmly waiting for an opportunity.

It's a dual carriageway and when I spotted an opportunity, I stamped down on the A pedal, the DSG downshifted twice and the car just leapt forward! MY dad and I were thrown back in our seats with the sudden acceleration.

I am of course quite used to it but for my dad, it was a surprise and then he was quite taken aback! This sort of explosive acceleration is not common in Indian cars and he quite enjoyed it.

On the return journey, he told me a couple of times to do that again just for fun! . 61 years old and still a child!

Hahaha! No comparison to the king of mile munching. I wish either my family or my wife's family stayed 800-1000 kms away. Unfortunately, my in-laws are 2 kms away and my parents are 3.5kms away!

Thank you! I have no such crazy trips planned for the vRS but then, I didnt have anything planned for the Civic when I started using it either!

Nice Nikhil. Not bad for a sporty Petrol. The mileage seems pretty similar to my W205 C250 d. If driven with a light foot and at around 100-120 kmph it returns around 16.5-17 KM/L. If pushed hard on the highway the mileage anything between 14-15 KM/L. Not to forget the C250d is nine speed and the VRS is 6 speed.

Also since you have driven it quite a bit, just wanted to ask you (and other VRS owners reading this) how easy/difficult is it to maintain the Alcantara Leather, I have seen it in flesh and I feel that it would absorb any fluid dropped on it, I have a 3 year old son and hence my question.

Can't comment on the Alcantara leather but kids can destroy anything specially the < 5 yrs group. I would suggest you to delay your purchase or go for all black interiors if possible.

My 2 year boy is really hard to handle inside car. He stand on seats, play across all rows, eat & drink and spill inside. The other problem is he continuously touch the window glass area which will have his finger prints all across and looks ugly. Can't do much there as then I have to go through a discussion around materialistic things and its importance in our life with my better half.

Every month I am spending 2k on wash + dryclean of interiors and I am noting it down in "aCar App" so that I can show him his nuisance in future.

Well, he should be on a car seat and not doing what you have mentioned if it is on the move.
