Re: My now sold Tata Nano Twist XT: first Accident report

So, an update on the eve of New Year. The new owner had a blackout while driving back from work and the car hit a pole on the (Right*) side of the road (* = assuming from the damage to the car). From what I know, he is a slow driver as he is developing driving confidence right now, and so the crash test does not seem to have any major damage.

Seems like there is damage to the Bonnet, Front Bumper, Right Headlight and most probably to the AC Radiator as well. According to them, the newly changed windscreen is intact and not damaged by this incident. So, whatever crumple zones were there in the Nano, worked well and prevented the cabin and windscreen from damages while hitting a pole!

He used to go for his duty on his Vespa M/T scooter mostly, I am so glad that he didn't black out while riding on the scooter, but whilst he was inside the car and got saved from any disabling injuries. It hurts to see my old car with such a scarred face, but I am happy for the owner that he remained safe and unscathed, while the car took the brunt and kept him cocooned inside, from the cold as well as from the accident.

P.S. - Happy New Year 2020 everyone. Drive safe and ride safe as well. Remember that Helmets (on 2 wheelers) and Seatbelts (in 4 wheelers) make a lot of difference in small or big crashes, and so always belt up or put on your helmets when driving/riding. Keep safe

Re: Tata Nano Twist XT: 4-year ownership report

Anyone else thinks that Tata Nano resembles the Mitsubishi i-MiEV a lot?

Then maybe Mitsubishi got impressed with the design, elongated it and made it's own electric iteration as i-MiEV

Now it will sell. Because the same design now comes with a non 'T' phoren badge - then people will love the design (which was referred to as eggshell!)
This little wonder really holds a special place in my heart. Cute, compact and yet ridiculously spacious inside!
Sadly, it was treated as an unwanted child by its parents.
