Wow - There is a day and night difference between the OEM setup and the Morimoto setup !! Interestingly I see motofocusz being listed. He has been setting up many Hyundai Projector setup on many cars. Hope I can get the setup replicated for my Creta too

re: Hyundai Creta 1.6L CRDi SX(O) - An Ownership Log - Update: 1,00,000 km up!

Coolant Changed

As per the maintenance schedule, coolant is to be changed at 30,000 kms but the SA insisted that the coolant is okay and need not be changed. I accepted it at that time but after a while, the colour and consistency didn't look right and how it should be. It was too diluted (more water content) so decided to change the coolant proactively at my FNG yesterday.

Bought 2 bottles of Castrol Radicool Heavy-duty (1L)

hi Anurag,

1. Have you opted for the extended warranty? If yes, have you got any document regarding the extended warranty?
2. Also, it is a surprise for me to learn that the OBD tool comes only with SX dual tone and NOT with SX(O). I tried to have the tool paired for Auto link. Only then I got to know that the OBD tool is available only on SX dual.

Hi sir, yes I have opted for the extended warranty. I got the document for the extended warranty in a week or so after delivery IIRC.

Are you talking about Auto Link that Hyundai provides? If yes, pre-facelift models didn't get them in any variant IIRC. The OBD tool is being provided from the facelift model.

Not sure, sir. My dealer is telling when I come for 10k service they will give me the document. I called Hyundai customer care and they tell me that I need to contact dealer for the same. Looks like their system is not update to include the "extended warranty" stuff. I am not able to conclude that the dealer is cheating me

OBD tool is being provided with ONLY dual tone 2018 Creta, NOT with SX(O) is what I learnt from dealer and customer care; strange indeed.

Congrats Anurag on the Creta! Wish you many happy miles with her.

Loved the DIY section. Looks like I'll be coming to you for consultation on the upgrades

Hi, Can you please tell how did you removed and put back the accelerator pedal? Just use brute force or any tools etc. were used?

Thanks.

Trim opening tool plus mild force to open it.

You need to gently twist it clockwise to free it from top clamping point and then slide it to right to free it completely.
