Thats the way to go. Now all i need to know is when the Free Flow is coming. Then forget 160kmph, even 180+ would be a piece of cake.

Aug is gonna be a fun month. First Track Day then Moonraker, and maybe more.

Hmmm. More than the extra speed that would come with that, I am (like you) a sucker for sound - love the sound of your Esteem. But, am also a keep-it-stock guy who hates tampering with the car. So, not sure about that. But who knows, maybe after a few years, might do it.

Not tampering a car is a very good idea, but beleive me I have recently FFEd my Baleno and the difference in performance is too good to ignore let alone the sound... but then again I too am not very fond of extensive mod jobs and I will stick to this mod only the main reason for this is reliabilty as I drive a lot on the highways and if something goes wrong on a highly modified car it wil be very hard to get any help on the highways..

blackpearl its only a matter of time before supremebaleno lives up to his handle.

A baleno without a free flow is like a sailor without a mariners compass/GPS.

Well, I just happened to see the hatch version of the Baleno here in Mannheim a couple of days back!!!! The first half of the car till the drivers door looked exactly like the Baleno we have and then the shae from teh rear door was a little different!

80-90 kph in fifth gear. Do that on the highway and you will see FE upwards of 18 KPL even with full load and AC

In UK I saw 3 Balenos and 1 Altura during my 42 days stay there ... two of the Balenos were sedans exactly like what we have here and the third one was a hatch and it was very ugly looking IMHO.. the front end did not gel with the backend at all.
Even saw quite a few Hondas which looked exactly like NHC from the front but hatchbacks. could not see the names, looked like HONDA JAZZ, but dont know the name they are sold under in UK.

Yeah, am lucky that she doesn't log on. But occasionally she does peep over my shoulders when I am posting on tbhp. And post-tbhp, she is now more curious than me about the cars we see on the street, the wheels they have, the external mods etc etc.

OT - Were you able to check the badging at the rear ? I'd seen one with the Esteem badge - that's the name of the car there. Looks pretty odd to Indian eyes
Another tidbit that I had once read on wikipedia - The Baleno was originally a competitor for the then Civic / Corolla.

The Suzuki Cultus did have a hatch version.

premdiv costs about 5k for the door trims. From what I have heard the door trims on a baleno dont last long. Some problem with the clips(?) / glue.

Heard this from quite a few dealers.
