i think it is around 2.5-3L. you need the entire front i.e. suspension/brakes et all. also the rear suspension and disc brakes i think.

I am not sure, just got some info from Sideways.

have seen a couple of Mivecs.. But i dont think they have upgraded the rear suspensions and the discs. If you plan on Discs for the rear it will be more expensive than 3L.. As well import a Mivce for that price.

I think upgrading the suspension and brakes (front & rear) kinda come with the territory if you upgrade to an engine that churns out 175 Bhp to the stock 88 Bhp (approx 100% increase in power).
The stock setup just wasn't build to handle that kind of power.
Factoring all that in, with my limited knowledge I would think it would cross the 3 lac limit.
Someone who's been there, done that, like Sideways would be better qualified to comment.

You'll get the Evo 5 abroad somewhere. Importing it will kill you. Then you have labour, and all that. Over 5 totally for an Evo, I would guess.

@ Vid

Could you identify which bolts are you talking of which needed the washer replacement, and also can you make out any clutch problem from the pictures.

@wolfinstein,

missed that thread completely. searched for lancer and clutch but that dint come up. If only I knew about it last week.

Well my clutch looked exactly like that with those marks. I'm not sure how to make out the clutch wear. I'll take snaps tomorrow of my old clutch and post them.

Regarding the bolt, I cant make out from the pics but the bolts are right below the airbox on the transmission. The washers on the bolts need to be replaced or extra one added. It's got something to with the gear arms and how easily they sit in the slot.

Again let me try and get pics of the engine bay tomorrow to show exactly where the bolts are. there are 3 on one side and reverse on the other side.

prices of the clutch are here:

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...tml#post434778

the labour for clutch alone was Rs.900.

vid, if you can get under your car, please post pics of the transmission bolts as well. The ones you placed washers on.

Thanks.

1. You cannot buy aftermarket parts & tell them to fix it.
2. You cannot buy parts from them & get them fitted in a garage of your choice.
Buy aftermarket and get them fixed in a garage of your choice, its that simple

Totally agree with you......the transplant would cost way above 3.0 L after factoring in the suspension upgrade. The engine, gearbox, front struts with (bigger) rotors, also entail changing your wheels to accomodate the rotors, so your rim size increases as does the PCD. No doubt the MIVEC transplant takes you to another level, but it has its pros & cons, not to forget the $$$$

Cheers

Not sure the PCD would change. To my (limited) knowledge, the wheel hub remains the same even if you upgrade your brake rotors, so PCD would not change.
