Most of the fuels are now 91 octane

Hi! I also got littel worried initially on this. But almost all the fuel pumps in major cities are now 91 octane. Powwer or Speed are only with extra additives and does not increase the octane value!

Regards

Great looking one bottle, enjoy the fabulous engine response. I like the new head lights on stile, they give it an altogether different looks.

I keep getting warned by Fiat workshop not to use fuels with additives, and to use only Regular. Apparently it would cause some problems in the cylinder heads. I found Shell super suites the 1.6 engine really well on my Petra too.

Is the figures given by ACI and OD correct as far as in gear acceleration of palio 1.6 . The figures given by ACI are 11.9 secs and 18.7 secs respectively for 20-80 in 3rd and 40-100 in 4th for the palio 1.6 engine.

@swathyd - careful there, i believe these figures are for 1.1 and not 1.6. I for one, have not seen any recent mags give any figures specifically on the 1.6.

dunno will check next time i head out.. think the 40-100 figure should be better than that though since i usually drive 45-50 in 5th gear and the pickup is quite excellent when i need to accelerate and overtake
