Guys, this was a work of a rickshaw guy coming from wrong side in one of old delhi roads.

Though it is not prominent seeing from a distance, but was thinking of getting it fixed on 3rd service. what options do I have and which one will cost less ?

PS: The black streak is not other vehicle's paint. I guess scratch was caused by cycles rickshaw's bolt on rear wheel.

Thanks

a) brush touch - will not give the finish - Free
b) repaint the bumper - costly - approx 3000 rs
c) vinyl stickering (black) for the whole lower end of bumper, will cover the scratch and future scratches - moded looks - 200-300 rs

austere, I guess this doesn't require changing the bumper. Get the touching done when you go for the 3rd service.

I have seen it couple of swifts out here in bangalore, dont have pics. Its the normal vinyl stickering that can be done through a good accessory/stickering guy, some people had posted it fro window pillar blackening thread out here.

I think it will probably polish out.

This is a plastic part, yes? So they can go deeper than the scratch and the colour will still be there.

did wax polish twice with no gains. I think I would go for brush touch. Changing bumper for that scratch is out of question.

Thad: you are wrong there, these are black plastic bumpers painted over, and any rubbing will leave more scar :(

Oh dear, sorry to hear that. I'm certainly not going to try and prove you wrong by experiment!

They (MSS) did a wonderful job on the damage a motorcyclist did to our rear bumber, but I guess it was dents more than scraches.

IMO austere just leave it re . The bumper part one should not even think about. I have lost count on the scratches and dents on my bumper. Why dont u try waxpol 2k rubbing compound, it is excellent !!

Around two months back a maniac amby had given my right wheel arch a good rubbing leaving its black colour on my silver paint with a few scratches on my bumper ( deep enough to peel of the colour) . The black bumper could be seen . I had again used waxpol rubbing compound on the damaged area, the compound did and excellent job of removing the paint. It did not leave any additional scars but was not that effective either as it could only lighten the scratch a bit !

Damping with avaliable damping material is usually makes vehicle heavy, try getting done with old clothe pieces(Anwar from Autofusion is using the same) works well and light weight and my Swifts doors makes just one "thug" sound while closing the door's.And no rattlings at all.
