Just plain ordinary normal diesel should do, I guess.

Dilip, I run my swift on normal diesel. After every 7-8 k kms, I use one bottle of SystemD to clean the injectors.

I have to ease off on the accelerator and then accelerate again to maintain the speed.

This only happens when i happen to accelerate hard.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Do you get white smoke when you are on the flatspot. If yes then it may be due to overfilling of engine oil which is getting into the turbo.

Time for my 4th paid service. Only 19K kms on the odo but I think I will push ahead for the service.

@Geek - You are still to post a breakup of your bill.

Can anybody please tell me what replacements / servicings etc are mandatory at this juncture.

For starters I know I will be going for Tyre Rotation, Air Filter Cleaning and Oil Filter Change ( Is this the Diesel Filter Change??).Any other servicing required ? What engine oil , gear oil etc is best suggested for the Swift D ? Please help

The exact details are in the owner's manual.

I too would be interested in any recommended extras, as, albeit it at just under 10,000km, I also have 24-month service. Will probably take early next week.

For 20k km service:
Paid service-Rs.750.00
Brake cleaning -Rs.225.00
Replace engine oil 3.1lts & oil filter -Rs.620+334
Replace transmission oil (gear box oil) 2.75lts-Rs.728
Replace Air filter-Rs.230
Replace Fuel filter(diesel filter/exchange filter)-Rs.842
Replace Brake fluid (IMHO not required if car is less than a year old)-Rs.300

Does paid Service include labour charges ??

If I go for a panel adjust as well as brakes adjust will they charge for the labour over and above the Rs 750 mentioned there ?

I had given my car for denting and painting around 4 months ago and I had asked them to adjust the panels to kill the rattles. they charged me a cool Rs 230/ for the same .

If I tell them to do the same during 4th paid service will they charge me separately or is that included in the Rs 750/- paid service charge ?

Brake overhaul/cleaning will be charged separately, if its only adjusting then it will not be charged.

Rattles also will be charged, unless its minor door setting.

Just not my day ! gave my car for 4th service . Got an estimate of Rs 5650/- . Now got a call from MASS. They said the front disc brakes and disc pads are completely gone. Additional cost of around Rs 4500/- making the total cost of servicing to Rs10,000/-. If the car maintenance is this expensive then I think I will have to start using the office bus service very soon !!

I suspect the same. 20k is very early, even for aggressive drivers. But the problem is that the dealer would have enough time to replace the pads and the disk if he wants, just to sell you the new ones.
