I understand your pain Geek. Every product in India is like this not worth for the money we pay :(

Maruti products are still bad compared to others. They are good to sell to innocent Indian public who thinks Maruti cars are great. Its very unfortunate many members here creates too much of hype about Swift and people buy that car again and again! I faced all the problems within a week of purchasing Swift.

I am greately disappointed about the way Maruti is heading.

Shame on MUL and its A.S.S. because they have more known bugs rather than strong points (cheap to buy and good resale value).

Anyway just neglect the issues since its known thing and enjoy your ride! If you can't live with it just sell it.

Regards,

Ravi.

PS I am not against Maruti or Swift but in reality this is the truth.

Geek i suggest you send a copy of this thread to MUL and tell them about their quality.

BTW when i bought the Swift i really apprecited the quality of MUL going up from the 2000 times when the Esteem's quality had become quite bad.

Is the rattles come only in diesel swift or does the petrol swift also has this problem?

Irrespective of variant, this is one of the Swift's traits.

I have done 3500 kms in my swift Ldi. There is no major rattle or noise in the car, touchwood. Maybe NCR roads are too smooth for rattle and noise to make its way.

There is some noise from the rear left door, maybe it will be taken care of in the next service.

Guys, please note that it maybe the toolkit and the reflective sign we get with the car that makes noise. In my case it was the reflective triangle.

Even my car has rear left door Rattle as well as a noise coming from rear door in extreme conditions. This was corrected in my first service and has occured again. It is frustrating.

3. Shredder sound in the dash board when I accelarate in 2nd or 3rd gear

Planning to go to Mondovi, Bannerghatta road as it is close to my home. Which service center you are using?
I go to Mandovi on Bannerghatta road. Ask for Shashi, and give him my reference. He will certainly help you.

Cheers!

All the four door pads are removed and the entire area is stuck with the dampening material ( it looks like a silver foil) and then place the door pads back on. Same thing is done for the boot !

But dampening comes at a price depending on the material used, like if DYNAMAT is used it's about 10k+ for the doors and boot.

10K+ just to get rid of rattles. Man that is a steep price to pay.
