@neel12345: Can you recheck the mileage and top-speeds figures, now that the error has been rectified?

Benny, the soon to be launched Indica DiCOR is rumoured to have ABS option.

Ya, I rechecked the mileage and last night i tried to reach the top speed.

Mileage with AC throughout the week in city : 12.5 perfect

The top speed I could reach yesterday under yesterday's condition was 145 on speedo. This means the original speed was about 140 Kmph. If I try to go beyond that the steering feels a little shaky but i'll try to take it to 150/155. Lets se if it can go any faster.

I added a K&N Air Filter from Setharam Motors to my car. They say its the highest quallity they have costing Rs.8000. The pickup had improoved drastically after fitting it and the car feels much better and the engine sound has lowered also it runs smoothe.

What about warranty, will it remain same with fitting of air filter?

What do you suggest: Fitting of air filter within the running in period or after that?

Its a pity they only put the 1.4 meters in your car. Wouldnt it have been a terrific mistake if they'd put in the 1.4 engine by mistake into your car? What a bunch of losers!

OT:

Steer, your new signature is a hoot. And a crash course in GK as well.
So 28 states and 7 UTs and only 22 languages? What happens to the 6 states (if not the 7 UTs)? Do they share their language(s) with one or more states in that list? Or is it that there are states whose languages are not recognised? Hmmm...

Thanks for pointing that out Changing colors now anyway.

They're still stupid for putting the wrong meter in anyway. No comments on that, Shri Zappo?

The Xeta brand is applicable only to Indica petrol cars. Diesels are not called Xeta.

Some one told me that XETA stands for eXtra Efficiency Torque .....Dont remember what A is for. Its an improvement from the old 1.4 L petrol unit.

eXtra fuel Efficient Torque Advantage, if i remember correctly.

And, its a downsized version of the 1.4L engine.

Its got shorter stroke pistons to improve responsiveness coupled with lower gearing to improve driveability. It can't be considered an improvement as such, but it enables TATA to qualify for the tax benefits for small cars.

So, In Cal...the XETA 1.2 is giving 12.5 kmpl under full AC...wonder if that's a generally achievable mileage or has something to do with driving style....?!
Ofcourse assuming Mumbai must be as rush-houred and crawling as Cal is (I have been in both places quite a few times).

Me contemplating XETA 1.2 in Mumbai....but quite scared of the CNG reviews I have got in this forum.....brrrr....guess shud wait another 2 months or what???

The warranty got voud with the addition of K&N Filter. But I least care about warranty, what I care is for performance, side quallity and Torque.

It is a personal choice that will that person buy the Air Filter and void warranty or do that after warranty. I personally feel useless to wait for the warranty to be over

hi all,

well actually i am getting 12.5 kmpl from my1.4 xeta in normal delhi traffic condition so i guess you should be able to get it in mumbai from 1.2.

Go for the car if you are looking for a work car.
cause it is cheap to maintain and it is cheapest in the market.

and be ready for the small niggling problem if you are buying a tata product.

Warranty got void?
Is it after getting the parts replaced that you added the K&N filter?
