Nice review.

Can you guys advice me between iDSI & VTEC.

Is the performance of VTEC is so great that it deserves a premium that Honda demands?

Alternatively is iDSI so underpowered that you need a VTEC to enjoy driving??

At what RPM does the third cam kick-in in the VTEC engine?

Cheers,

Re: My New Honda City ZX Vtec - Report at 15000 Kms

Apologies for raising an old thread.I would like to know the different model specifications in this particular model.

I am looking for a used honda city VTEC, just like the thread owner has bought. What is the difference between the City ZX and the City Gxi apart from the engine?

And also how to identify if the car is the VTEC? Because i saw a model that was like City ZX Gxi - is this a vtec or not?

cheers and thanks!!

Following points come to my mind:
- VTEC had rear disc brakes
- VTEC came with ABS

Also, if it is City ZX Gxi . it is not VTEC, because VTEC came with its distinct bedge.

Hope this helps,

@Sai ace:Normally the IDSI has 08 iridium spark plugs and the vtec and vtec plus has only 04.The vtec plus is equipped with ABS,ACC and a rear spoiler sitting on the boot. The exhaust is chrome tipped in all vtecs/vtecs plus.On the boot and on the engine cover you can find a vtec badge. And last but not the least it is a 100bhp motor under the hood.
