Nikul - Karthik is totally right, its a regular thing, car wasnot pulling to any side or so.

White - Yes, it looks like a con job.

@rippergo - Well just let the car easy for the first 1000kms and dont accelerate/brake/corner hard, and then slowly slowly as kms progress open up the engine.

Installed Green Cotton Filter today, will write a report soon, plan to install a cat-back exhaust in the future.

BUSA, this part looks to be a con-job. 687 for weights? I wouldn't agree even if they are made of silver.
Just got my other car balanced, aligned, rotated and it came to be 540 or so from another tyre dealer. Thanks alot for enlightening me about the weights part, the dealer was taking me for a ride.

Car has done 11.5k kms and has a gearbox glitch, more can be here

20000kms service update

Had send the car for this and told them to do 20000kms service as well.

The cars left head light had fused and due to the burning and smoke, the LHS Headlight has got black from inside. The guys at MSIL, said they can clean it but the chrome will come out, so leaving it at that, till i get the projectors.

The service was done quite well. I had told them about the front left door not closing properly, so they have replaced some door thing for 110 bucks.

Total bill came to be, hold your breath guys Rs. 4300, which doesnot include engine oil(as i use synthetic)

Out of the above bill, 500 was for 244 Diesel Addictive, something like system D, a complete can, which they told me to completely put in the tank while filling diesel. This has to be done every 10000kms to keep the injectors clean.

The bill consisted of the following : -

Diesel Treatment (Aka 244 Diesel) - Rs. 500
Paid Service - 700
Wheel R&R - 60
Disc Brakes Cleaning - 480
Brake Bleeding - 300
Radiator Flushing - 170
Door Switch Assy R&R - 300
Brake Fluid - 275
Gear Oil 75W90 - Rs. 632
2 x Coolant non Amine - Rs. 417
2 x Ring Synchroniser - 0(under warranty)
Misc - 50
Clip, FR Fender Lining - W

Total - 4328(Which doesnot include engine oil)
Imagine if change of brake pads were required

These guys had very cleaverly put the dealersships name by matching the colour of the team-bhp sticker. I told them to remove it asap, they did and then the service guy was like "Ye bhi nikaloon" I am like "Nahi" He was like "Hamari Company ka likal diye, par yeah rakha hai", i was like "par yeh humari company ka hai "

Mechanic removing the sticker

Nope, paid service only covers the labour part of the servicing. Fuel/Oil filters are consumables & thus are charged for separately like you're charged for Oil.

thats cheap man!!

cheap fuel system cleaner , cheap brake fluid , cheap radiator flush , could have gotten better gear oil and coolant too - i dont like what maruti gives, at all !
244 Diesel Addictive [ additive ! ] - OWS 360 is WAY better .
And you should machine clean your injectors and check spray patterns , just additives dont cut it !

Sorry couple of things I did not understand. Is it mandatory?
  1. What is this Diesel Treatment ?
  2. Wheel R&R
  3. Brake Bleeding
  4. Radiator Flushing - is it required to do?
  5. Door Switch Assy R&R - Yours has gone and replaced?

I got them made, why does your accessory friend need them and how many does he need? Commerical business is strictly prohibited, ie you cant sell the stickers to anyone, you can get them made for yourself. Official Team-bhp stickers will be here soon.

  1. What is this Diesel Treatment ? Some treatment to clean injectors, its something like system D
  2. Wheel R&R No idea
  3. Brake Bleeding Read more here
  4. Radiator Flushing - is it required to do? I think yes
  5. Door Switch Assy R&R - Yours has gone and replaced? No, the door took more efforts to be closed so some lock has been replaced.

I changed my oil, its not in the bill as i sourced the oil, using Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W50 and i dont care of MGP fuel filters are good or not, i use green filters. Also the stock oil filter is green so its not as bad as you make it out to be.

Hmm...

These are the three synthetic oils by mobil:
Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40 - Specifically for diesel engines
Mobil 1 5W-50 - Petrol
Mobil 1 0W-40 - Petrol

If i'm not msitaken the thread talsk about Mobil 1 5W-50(Petrol).
I'm not here to say that someone's wrong or something, just giving in my inputs.

Khadu, you could use either of these:
Mobil 1 5W-50 - Petrol
Mobil 1 0W-40 - Petrol(I doubt this though...)

About servicing, when I was in delhi 2 years ago, MSM okhla guys were the best.

Busa: Are you sure delvac has nothing extra for diesel engines than the one you're using which is for petrol?

Samy

Hey Samy your right man , the 5w50 is a petrol oil suitable for diesel but not a die hard diesel oil thats for sure.

Not sure of the difference but another member I think dragger or VIPER pointed out that the 5w50 just about manages to be a diesel oil.
Busa i would have tried out a die hard meant for diesel oil , got nothing to lose.

EDIT : sorry people it was nitrous !
