Guess the vehicle had that size when I picked it up in 2015. My neighbourhood tinkershop, who did the painting and denting immediately after I got the GV, reported changing the blades. Guess he just did a "same to same" change.

I was too busy getting to know the vehicle to notice.

Sudevji, wondering if I need to carry extra fuel in the car for the Leh-Tandi stretch, where there are no petrol pumps. The 350-km distance seems well within the 64-litre fuel capacity of the GV, even considering the likely much higher fuel consumption on that road. Any advice? And where can I get an extra fuel tank in Delhi-Gurgaon area, if I decide to buy one? Thanks.

In addition to what Sudev sir might say about this, I'll add that I have not been able to fill more than 42-45L from empty to full in my 2.0GV. Part of the reason could be that I always stop at auto cut-off and the fact that most often I don't let the tank run too low. The rest goes in the reserve I guess. So practically speaking, I do my fuel calculations based on 42L (conservative estimates). But yeah 350 KM is easily doable in one tank, but I think it's better to carry extra in this case.

I often fill 55-57 liters since I am not too far away from petrol bunks. It is possible to do 50KMs even after low fuel warning comes up.

So I regularly do 550-575kms in a single tank despite driving in ghat roads. But Himalayan roads are a different ball game I think. What kind of FE do you get there on GV?

I just checked my fuel app. The most I've filled is 53L, which was the very first fill up after I bought the vehicle. After that 44L and 42L as second and third highest. The most I've managed in Uttarkhand's hilly areas is around 7.5 kmpl, so not dramatically different from what I usually get.

No manual mode. It is basically a veryyy old school 4 speed unit.
But it has the option of selecting 3/2/1 modes in addition to D. In each of these settings the box shifts up to the setting and not beyond. Eg. in "2" the gears will shift between 2 or 1 only.

But the AT box is a gem while off-roading. i just slot it in D and concentrate on the steering.

Since many areas in that stretch are flat you will get good average if you do not do pedal to metal stuff. You may need 20litre can if you plan to do Nubra Warila Pangong in one stretch.

Max I have filled is 63.5 litre. That was done to check run to dry capacity. Had a five litre jerry can with me but the car started puttering just as a fuel pump came up. Coasted to stop.

We have ours for sale as someone mentioned earlier....2007, 2.0 1 lac kms.
Let me know if anyone is keen,I have posted in the Classifieds section already.
NO tampering with the ODO ofcourse! And have quite a few spares as well.
We have booked another SUV, so now this can really go....

Agree with Sridhar on the virtues of this gearbox.

1.Has the D, 3, 2, L options so offers the convenience of a "manual". I have, on countless occasions, shifted to 3 or 2 to help me zoom out of obstacles.Gearbox response to shifts is instantaneous.

2.The Power mode helps in delayed shifts in D mode.So that is another convenience.

3.Drive mode 4H works fine in most situations.

This is one gem of a car and a gem^n of a gearbox.

Guys have picked up a 2007 GV 2.0 AT from a fellow bhpian. However the car needs some TLC and a bit more. What are my options for suspension upgrade or should I stick to the stock MGP/SGP? Not looking for any major or costly upgrades. Also need suggestion for the tyres. Thanks.
