Have to say it was disgusting how they treat cars over there . If you got the love and some time NEVER NEVER EVER rely upon maruti to treat your car well. You HAVE to be there.

I saw sick things , even done to a merc c class , no sense of good workmanship at all. Poor guys though - the workers - they dont have **** and they have no way out. :[

so : put in the ows plugs 4000 km back . Got them gapped by Team FS to 1.1 mm as per JD Madan's advice. I presumed FS [ fahad ] had a machine to gap them , but he did it by hand - something scary for me to watch : in fact i actually looked away as i couldn't stand watching that. Too crude.

Saw my plugs today and man they didnt look great at all. Did the decarb etc on new stock plugs which got raped by the decarb by the way. Than put my OWS plugs back in .

Have to say bad gapping was real bad for the plugs and shah & sanghi didnt even have a damn machine to gap them. The thing with OWS is that it is a dual tip design so i presume if the sparks are not perfectly meeting the "plasma arc " which is supposed to be formed just doesnt happen ,hence making the plugs not worthy.

For the swift the gap is supposed to be .8-.9 mm the ows plugs come gapped at .8 , NGK comes gapped at 1.1 !!

I wanna stay with OWS need to find out if any of the OWS plugs which can fit in the swift are gapped at 1.1 or even 1 mm?? Will call chennai soon but anyone out there can help me?

Or else i will just go to NGK cant afford anything for some time {6000 out of my pocket today} so i am harrowed as the speedwork's guys advice didnt help me in fact it raped my plugs !

Feel let down by them and by fahad too for a shoddy job.
will posts pics maybe sometime too.
Got OWS 360 gas treatment after my service its real good and i hope it cleans my plugs up a bit too. Did try to re gap them myself so that the spark points were in line with each other but will soon see how that feels.

In fact i am outta here just ate and had a beer i am gonna hit the roads alone [ all worthy friends pre occupied ] for a bit see how she feels.
If i rambled sorry but i am broke and harrowed and let down.
cheers people
update later

PS :shah and sanghi use 4 seasons old "refurbished" equipment ,just found that out today.Bad scene.
Any one got a good contact at Navnit ? Wanna try them next bought my car from them.

Have to say that Shah and sanghi [?] are expensive when it comes to labour but considering the work done = Rs 15 100 including a 2750 Ac service and front brake pad set was very worth it car feels great.

For the first time yesterday got my engine valves adjustment done , very crude stuff they just shoved those thin pieces of metal {with proper gauged thickness} around my cams and claimed that it was fine.

Want a second opinion and i actually thought that the oil had to be drained out of your car in order for the valve s to be adjusted but thats wrong.
Had made a thread on valve adjustment long time ago but nobody helped me.

Also i found out that the swift and the esteem both dont have a cabin air filter or pollen filter as some call it. Is that true?
Bosch make good advanced cabin air filters with carbon , that sounds great.
Need a swift petrol workshop manual trying a few sources can anyone help me out , will happily pay for it , thats good reading.

Please post the bill, 15100 seems way to high for a 20k kms service for a car costing 4Lacs.

Edit - Saw the bill.

Why was brake pads required to be changed? You brake very hard?
