It was a MS fabrication manufactured at Gopals. Jaggu by now would've got a better idea by now.

Nope could not make it, had called up Gopal and he was in kerala and it was already close to noon and he said Babu will keep the garage open only till noon since Gopal was not in station.

Dear Mr.Rudhra,
Can you upload a picture of your car interior (Console box and front bucket seats)..I have seen it in you earlier post.But the image is not too clear.

My uncle car has been fitted with the bucket seats and there is no Console box in the middle.Latest Console box (Avigo),we didnt like it.The old one ,which you have fitted we are looking for.

Also write,whether its worth of this consoles fitted in the middle.The gear shits are getting too hard or same as before.

New HM Ambassador Delayed Further....

"Hindustan Motors is planning to launch an all new version of the Ambassador since quite some time now. But now the company has delayed the launch by yet another year. The new Ambassador is said to go modern with the adaptation of a lighter, stronger and sleeker appearance. However the company plans to maintain the retro looks to reignite the Amby flame of the 1950s. Close to thirty engineers are working at HM’s new R&D center in Uttarpara to design and develop the new Ambassador. The new Ambassador will retain the monocoque layout of the current car and will feature a host of technical changes."

Dear all, I heard that new Amby will be launched with Rover Engines.The engine which the new tavera has. (New Tavera Yet to be Launched).. The rover engine came with sonalica Rhino.it was tuned and now its going to be launched with Chevy Tavera.

Thanks Shubz. I didn't get time to go there for last few weeks as I was out of town.

For some reason or no reason work is progressing at snail's pace. I really don't know the reason and I've realised that there's no point pushing him to move fast.

Jaggu was there last week and taken some snaps. Frankly, I don't see much of progress since I saw last. No doubt his quality of work is very good and I've accepted this slow progress. I have no choice now.

Rudra sir - The delay could be attributed to the fact that mamu is indisposed. And the other Amby is getting some attention ahead of yours. I hope your job is taken up with the same passion as before. I take back my words - remember I had provided you with my estimate that you will drive back in Aug/Sept time frame?

Shubz, you don't have to take back your words here. Three months ago I knew that my car's not going to be ready before November.

Let me make one thing clear here. I'm not unhappy about this delay because I'm not stuck without a transport.

I'll wait for him to complete his job the way he likes.

Sir I was very confident that by Sept (max Oct) your beauty would roll out gleaming. As fate would have it - Mamu is suffering from a serious hand issue and Gopal wouldn't want any Tom/Dick/Harry touching your beauty. Hence the delay. Hope work gathers steam on it! Looking forward to it. Will subtly check with Gopal as I keep visiting him often.
