The front windscreen gets fogged fast in a rainy day. This is in comparison to the Santro I had.
Congratulations on your new Safari.

Try setting the A/C vents to fresh air mode when it rains. Assuming that the A/C is on.

First gear hates being used, its short and its tough to put into first gear now and then. Same with reverse gear. Need to sort this when I go for service.
Unless you're trying to get into 1st or reverse from a full stop, the vehicle will complain. Even then, the truck requires you to coax the lever into 1st or reverse. This will get better over time.

Hope you have read the instructions on clutch usage.

Change wiperblades to Bosch, clean your windshield very regularly, use Sonax windshield washer in your reservoir. The only explanation I could find is that the windshield is rather large and rather upright hence it tends to catch all the grime from the road.

Or else keep one bar of Chandrika/Medimix sample soap in your car. The wash can get very messy (might as well throw the bar out after the wash) as the soap is very lathery, but it does a great job all the same.

Also some photos of interiors. BTW the electronics display looks tempting. How do you make all the lights glow?

I may also jump to Safari from Santro (maybe limited bcos of moolah perspective...)

No cash discounts. I was offered teflon, unde rbody and Garware sun films. Couldnt get them done thanks to heavy rain.

Felt funny when I read people calling it an elephant. I was surprised when my friends too called it the same! White Elephant because you sit at a height and people love it but is afraid!

jk i would highly recomend that you go for a better alloys and a decent set of tubeless tyres(michelin, yokohama).
On cards First I need that reverse camera + screen. Cant see the fly sitting/hiding behind my Beast's tail when I reverse.

Congratulations, JKDas!

I am another one of those who is eyeing Safari ( among other options ). I dont have a timeline for the buy decision, but every single visit to this forum pulls me closer . There are a lot of Safari fans here! even with all the small glitches its supposed to have! Thats quite impressive.

For me the challenges with Parking etc are the major negative points. ( I do have some space constraint ).

Anyway, great to see another one joining the Safari club! Have a great time!

Congrats JK !!

I have a question on the subject of upgrading the tyres. (sorry if i missed a similar thread somewhere on Tbhp)

What would be the cost to replace the stock tyres on a safari and upgrade to tubeless 255s? And how much would one get for the stock tyres exchanged?
