Lancer at 80000K

Hi,

Planning to give my Car for a 80K KM Service of my Lancer. Need to know what would be my approx cost for this service. Also what are the parts they will replace. Car will be serviced at India Garage in Bangalore which is a authoriesd service centre.

Regards
Sandeep

If the suspension has not been done yet, then it might be one of the things that you might want to look at. My Lancer has completed 72k (I bought it at 61k) and it was time I let the old suspension setup let go. I am getting it replaced with a new kit now (stock setup). This has set me back by 20k (getting it done from the used car dealer's service center). I hear the company charges close to 40-45k for the same work. How true is that?

This is what an 80k service for Lancer looks like

80000 kms service
Oil Filter 141
Engine Oil 618
Fuel Filter 1930
Air Filter 457
Coolant 410
Spark Plug 864
Brake Oil 300
Total Parts Price 4720
Labour Chgs 1500 1653
TOTAL[ L+P] 6373

Add incidental and wear and tear part prices to that. I'd suggest you go to Lathangi instead of India Garage.

Thanks for the information. Why do you say India Garage?. Any problems you have faced, even I was thinking about this, but was not firm on this thought.

Did you mention petrol or a Diesel engine. And which Model of Lancer do you drive? i think SFX versions had a better and expensive suspensions. Am not sure how others quoted you without knowing these, may be petrol numbers. So please eloborate first. and do you feel anything wrong with the car other than the regular details, A/c problems, battery down situations?, body noises?, steering pulling towards one side?, uneven tyre wear on any of the tyres?... all these mean something or the other expense.

So please give a small history of your ride and expect a ton of responses from fellow Lancer owners here.
