19500km Update

Third service coming up in couple of days.

Problems so far....

1. Steering vibration while braking hard at speeds above 100kph. Its a disc issue and hoping to get it solved during the service.

2. Green filter got choked and suddenly the not so noticeable turbo lag became very prominent and the FE also dropped to around 13.XX kmpl. Got me worried a bit but one call to Peter and arush was enough. Got the Green filter cleaning kit and voila and it was back onto ripping mode.
It was surprising to see one filter make such huge difference to the engine and also i didn't expect it to get choked in 6000kms. May be it was due to the Rajasthan trip.

3. Beige interiors has always been a pain to maintain. Still haven't found one good seat cover.

4. The left indicator on the fender comes off at speeds above 160kph. Aerodynamic problem ? lol its Weird

5. It doesn't cross 200kph.

3. Try Karol Bagh, good seat covers there.
4. Lol
5. Oh common KP. Stop it. Isnt it enough. The car is already way too fast.

kp you should stick to 5000kms intervals for cleaning your filter.

Tried Karol Bagh once but they wanted me to leave the car for a day which wasn't feasible. Time constraint is also a big reason for not getting it till now.

Yeah i guess so. The reason what left me surprised was that it had only been a month since i had got the Filter. I did 6000kms in a month

kp, you crunching miles like a transport corp. Great going.

Did you go for another weekend trip after Jaisalmer or what?

Even, i faced the issue of vibrations while braking. They got the discs machined and its gone. Seems like it has a weak disc.

I was assured that it'll be replaced if the issue crops up again. I think you should press hard for replacement right away and going by your contacts at HMP, it wouldn't be a much problem.

Meanwhile, I got the Energy fitted along with PVC hub rings. All my steering vibrations problems are gone. Touch Wood.

Keep crunching !!!

I have this steering vibrations thiggy too. Also i get a wierd viration from the gear stick only in the 3rd gear at about 2000-2500 rpm. Will not be fixing that until the 2nd service. But do elaborate on how the steering virations have gone. I did not understand the PVC thing properly. Oh and coming to the brakes -> Last night i went in to fill fuel and after the fill went up to check the air pressure and guess what. The guy there was suffering remove the air filler cap. When i went and checked out what was going wrong the rim was boiling hot because of the brakes (seems we need radiators for even the brakes now He! He!
Cheers

Wow! 35.5k kms in 15 months. Great going.
The torque seems to take toll on the clutch.
I will also get my clutch checked during the service.

You said the service was done at 35500kms. What is the service interval?

Moreover what is the 2700 mentioned above?
