@KP - 210 KMPH . I really want to get onto the express way where you are are burning rubber. I have managed only about 190 and thats only about twice or thrice. And as you say the brakes are super at straight line. Lucky you, that express way is super.

@aya - The rear view mirror is good at night. I had the same thing on my zen at night the ash interiors made everything darker making it hard to view the rear. Since the interiors are beige in the getz the night vision is better. In the morning though if the night vision was enabled - the zens rear view was clear but it is not so in the case of the getz. But then thats the point of having those kind of mirrors right.

Two weeks back i managed to hit 160kmph mark. Too much wind noise made me stay at 140kmph itself.

I'll leave that for Guruji to explain.

Please check out your braking before doing such speeds.
IIRC you have 195/60-14 on stock rims. The same wheel combo is causing some handling issues in my cousin's Getz. The handling completely goes for a toss while hard braking at speeds above 100kph.

Kpzen - This is some serious fun with a Getz. Has to be India's hottest hatch, like the Clio Sports videos on youtube doing insane speeds. Now put a similarly powerful engine on the i20 with its pretty good suspension, braking, build quality and safety features and we have an awesome car.

Agreed KP's Getzi is a remapped one. Even a remapped fabia comes nowhere near the stock Getz. Run for its money -> the fabia is running only for the skoda brand name thats all.

@KP - I find the brakes giving me enough confidence. I don't find handling as an issue at all with the vehicle. At 190 i was able to maneuver the vehicle without any drama.

I have 195 tyres on my Getz, I have done 185 kmph till date and the drive around Bangalore usually requires sudden stops and different speeds, and the brakes does inspire confidence. I would have preferred Swift's handling to the Getz at any speed, I am more than happy to be driving around in my Pete'd (Pete's + K&N stock replacement) Getz CRDi.

Nope. Actually wind was blowing from left to right of the fourlane road heavily and that made the car little unsettling .... Also the tire noise was like a screaming one..

I have checked that with the service centre few days after i bought the car. It comes with the non-convex type. Also checked with the accessories shop and asked them to show me a New Driver ORVM and its of non-convex type too. Even my Santro had the Convex type ORVM. Nobody knows the answer to this question in the service centre.

Thats something normal. It used to happen even on my zen. The car gets unsettled by only a little bit and the steering gets pushed.

So 25K in just about 3 or 4 months eh! Kp seems to not crunching but swallowing miles . So service due now KP?

BFG GSports indeed have a lot of tyre noise. When going into ditches as well the thud is a bit more noticeable.

Cheers
