Update : Heavy black smoke while accelerating and a clogged air filter.

Condition of air filter...Green looks like a brown filter.

Does this mean GC filter is good or bad? Where do you drive to get so much of dust KP . Have you cleaned the filter as yet?

Shyam

Shyam.

1. Not sure. CRDi experts pls comment.
2. Most on expressway but Delhi/NCR areas have very dusty conditions if u compare it with Bangalore.
3. Yes it has been thoroughly cleaned and now its green in color. The cleaned filter pic was 1.03mb hence, it didn't get uploaded.

20000kms - 2nd cleaning : When the car was sent for 3rd service with stock filter
27000kms - 3rd cleaning : Heavy black smoke and the engine was feeling bit bogged down.

I think its normal then, and the air filter is doing a good job with filtration. Somehow feel stock replacement filters are better any day compared to the CAI, wind etc etc. Good choice.

Is there any reason you are trying to get the service done early?

Is it worth buying Getz CRDI at this point of time..

I asked dealer that Hyundai has stopped production of Getz CRDI and would only supply parts for next 5 yrs..Is this true ?

Thanks
Rahul

Until and unless Verna crdi and Getz petrol is existing there is no need to worry atall even if they stop production.

Hyundai has not stopped production, you can still order cars from HMP, New delhi. Other dealers though do a lot of chik chik for cRDI.
