No, its not because of warranty issue.

Why I remove the filter is because..
1. I can clean the filter while the car has gone for servicing.
2. Don't want the mechanics to mess around with it. Once a mechanic had replaced my K&N filter in Baleno with OEM filter and i had to search around for my K&N throughout the service center. Next time they tried to clean the K&N with high pressure air and damaged it.

That 'Sir' almost sounds like a reprimand!

Anyway, Jaggu pointed it out.

You really seem to be enjoying your Getz!

Hi! kpzen,

Need few clarifications.

As i see you are still on stock rims. Any specific technical reason to still be on stock rims?

185/65 with Neo's sunrise wheels having an offset of 27mm can it be used without any problems? I prefer 185/65 as it will improve the GC.

How are yoko's A Drives? Can it be used on indian pot holes roads with out any problems? Are XM1+ better?

Thanks.

Hi Kiren,

1. Couple of reasons why i'm still running on stock rims:
a) Wanted good ride quality so didn't upgrade to 15" and didn't have $$$ to think of 15".
b) The wheel caps of CRDI are just too good and spending on 14" alloys were just waste of money IMO.

2. The offset is less, stock offset is 38. Check the hub dia as well. IMO if u are not upsizing to 15" then stick to 14" stock rims.

3. A drives have been brilliant so far. They have taken all the torque abuse and pothole with ease. Expecting them to last till 40k kms. Both XM1 + and A drives are good comfort oriented tires.

Jk
The car hasn't been pampered at all. Everything has been kept simple and original.
With a running of around 120kms in a day it usually gets a wash once in 5000kms but yes its mostly running on smooth clean tarmacs.

Whats Hyundai's role in fixing seat covers?

Seat cover brand is AUTOFOAM and it cost me Rs 7200/-

Its not leather.
I think you may call these as art leather with beige shade in perforated form.

@kp: really good choice though, i really liked it. I personally had mixed impression of the beige interior's earlier but the new covers have really changed it, for the good. Do you have to custom order or they are readily available?

Post no 2 says Autofoam's are an iffy product. Did you mean AutoFORM or shall we conclude that AutoFOAM is a good brand too!

Jaggu,
Its a custom order, had to negotiate for couple of months. Now they are planning to put this in mass production.
