O.T Its very sad to hear about road tax in Haryana.
I paid 68160 as road tax here in bangalore

Anyways i am happy that your onroad cost is < 6 Lacs.

Take care of her and enjoy the ride.
Haryana road tax is very less but soon its gonna be increased to 6-8%.

Take care, kpgetz2 - that interior will get dirty very fast.
I but maintaining a dark color here with so much dust is a pain..
If it was down south i would have chosen Midnight grey color..

Brakes are good but not great and Driving with stock tires is absolutely suicidal..

I think its the Bumper lip which touches and not the underbody...

Congratulations KP!

110 horses and 240 NM sounds yummy buddy. Have fun and drive safe.

Just my $.02 but try and get "fake" CF pieces for the trim which is "fake wood" right now. I just dont see it go down so well with the over all look of the car and the driver's(your) personality. Makes the interior look dull and mature in my opinion.

Cheers

Don't worry Anuj, KP is getting some used tyre treads to replace the wood & match his 'personality' better!

Hi KP,

dude, if one monster wasnt enough. you went and bought two!!

would be quite a sight on road with two monsters blasting away other cars.

welcome to the GETZ CRDI club

Update: 300kms in 4 days !!

Ok for a change, i will start with dislikes::

1. The headlamp unit is so huge but absolutely inefficient....Even a luna guy can blind u... Need to upgrade the bulbs soon...

2. During rains the wipers do a good cleaning job but make the windshield foggy making night driving little difficult...Don't know why?? The AC was ON..

3. Crawling in traffic isn't very comfortable in this car....Put the second gear at 10kmph and it starts rolling without pressing the accelerator ...But i think with time i will or have to get used to it...

GOOD:

1. Engine: Wow!!! literally leaves most of the cars wondering what just smoked them...Most ppl know Verna is fast but hardly anyone knows about the existence of Getz CRDi....VDi's and Verna ppl are scratching their head thinking how can Getz petrol overtake and chase them down!!!

2. FE - <<STUNNING>> Sedate driving and occasional ripping till 3500rpm has given me 16.1kmpl.... All with AC and minimum 4ppl on board...

More updates to follow as i cover more kms!!

16.1 kmpl with 100% AC in city Wow i took a good decision on selecting a wonderful car.
Hey your are lucky.only Rs.2.00 for a Km.Great
But i am afraid i won't get this amount of FE in Chennai traffic.

I told you so, it's a problem in the Verna & it's a problem in the Getz too. :(

Be in 1st gear most of the time . Thats the best way. Else ride in half clutch ,which is not advisable.

the car will take off as you release the clutch in 2nd gear. but that is only for the initial 2-3 secs, then settles down. that is the ECU preventing the car from stalling, I think.

feather the brakes, for those initial 2-3 secs and you're all set to drive in 2nd gear, with engine idling during thick traffic.
