I was coming all the way to GGN because I thought Dhingra is good. If not, then I think some good service center near Noida would be better.
I heard a new Service center opened up in sector 63 Noida. How good/bad is it?

There is one "Shrinathji Motors" in kaushambi

At least dont go there, they are the biggest crooks i have ever come across.

They can even change parts from your new Safari and sell it to some other customer needing them.

there service guys run this bloody nexus.as i was also offered a part worth 3.5k in 1k.

I've been to Dhingra & seen "personal" service being given because of contacts. Go there with Suman uncle's blessing Tanveer, there'll be no problem at all! The SWM is a really nice guy!

And yeah, congrats once again! You got the insurance quote down?

Ok, with blessings Dhingra looks to be good.
And as for insurance, got 25850 from Bajaj Allianz at 95% IDV
6K better than reliance insurance from dealer

No gnashing sounds yet, and frankly speaking I am not worried about G'box, engine and other such parts. I expect them to outlast the life of the vehicle, and in all Tatas we have had, they have gone 100,000kms+.
ITs the electricals which have to stand the "10,000kms test", and ditto for rattles etc.,

But I noticed that the suspension makes a chooon noise every time I go over a largish speed breaker at moderate speed. i.e. not fast enough to hit the roof, but just as fast so that the suspension flexes a bit.
From somewhere below the steering wheel there is slight chik chun kind of rattle. I suspect its the seat.
So this first service its 3 rattles to take care off.

You won't like to hear the latest - he's been moved to their upcoming Skoda showroom & service center in Freedabad (close to his house) . But anyway, as long as his mobile phone works, he's still my contact.

Just went through the acid test of getting a rear brake issue resolved in his absence last weekend - went off well, without a hitch. Need to see how it works out long term.

Else, Eddy, here I come!

So that leaves Elegant/Samyak at Patpatganj(wherever that is) or Dynamic Automobiles in sector 63 Noida.
First service checklist
1. Left window rattle
2. Slight squeaking sound from front suspension on speed breakers
3. Slight squeak near foot pedals
4. Head lamp change to Osram Silverstar +50%(if I can find them in Noida)
5. Oil change. not too sure about this one, the manual says 15000kms for first oil change, which I find very weird.
6. Clutch adjustment to make it softer
7. Brake pedal adjustment and bleeding
8. Power steering system bleeding

I am also following the the following gear change regimen
1-2 20kmph
2-3 35kmph
3-4 60kmph
4-5 70kmph
5 Top speed : 110kmph(2500rpm), cruising speed 100kmph(2200rpm whereabouts)

Found these in the downloaded owners manual, since I don't have my service book yet.

Congrats tsk1979. Enjoy your new acquisition. Please check the 4wd in slush or sand to make sure it works without any hitches.

Well if I get my owners manual before this friday, then I will come on saturday or sunday. Otherwise I have to get it done on a weekday next week(Not free on weekend), and that rules out GGN.
