Dreams @ 2000 rpm - My Swift at 1,81,000 km

Get ready boy..we are going shopping!!
Left, right..straight..U turn..!!!
Err..!!Here…Why ?
U ll know why..!!
Lady: oh we spoke over the phone..!!I ll be done.
Me: DAD,DONE WHAT ? Are we buying this showroom ?
Dad: White babe, ready to be unleashed in 20 days..!!wow!!
Me: U don’t get porn here..!!!
Dad: This will satisfy all your hormones..believe you me..!!

There are some things in life u dream about, U imagine yourself in the dream, U are the star, U have a star and when it is all coming true u just cant believe the fact that it is. Its like ‘ oh darn, for real..and how ? Is this a dream ? Pinch, Punch, No Poof. ITS NOT A DREAM.

A White Swift DDIS, Reclamation. Mash the Throttle..Turbo Spools at 2000 rpm and you are stuck to the seat, The world around appears blur, Speedo climbs like there is no tomorrow, The turn approaches, Tyres howl and cry..U want more..Inch the right foot to the floor,Lunges forward with Vengence, ..Overdrive..Turbo again.. hang on for dear life..Pure bliss..Its not how far u can push her..Its about how far u can push yourself to push her.
The road ends with a U turn..

U want more..U will always want more..Till there is life in you, This cycle will keep repeating.
U will wake up in the middle of the night just to check if this babe is actually for real, U'll admire her for hours.
If u have to leave her alone for sometime..u ll actually call home and check if she is fine or no.
There is more to life than girlfriends, coffee shops and rooftops and this is reason enough for me to wake up everyday with a smile.

Next time u find me singing ‘ let me see you get wild tonight’ and don’t find any reference to context, U know what to look out for !!!

Smiling Wide,Bleaming White,
Come She will,What a Sight,
Cross the Days, Wait the Hours,
Dreams coming true, Out of the blue!

Before it was an endless wait and now 20 days seem like eternity.

Congrats!
Do write an initial review and ownership report once you get the car.
M800 to Swift DDiS should be FUN!

People!!The car has left the factory and is in transit.Should be with me in a weeks time.
Need some help to collect stuff so that it can be fixed as soon as the car is there.
Music System..Need one which has USB and auxillary input.
Got a quote of Sony USB 470 ---> 4800 ( minus bill and warranty) If anything better than this even a little expensive let me know.
JBL 938-----> 3100 ( minus bill and warranty)
Front 6 inch speakers..No idea which one to go for ..please recommend.

Alloys--> Want white ones but havent seen any coming in 14 inchers and dont want to go for 15 inchers so am planning for ZXI ones.Does any company have White alloys in 14 inchers?
Tyres--> Michelin XM1+ 185/70/R14s.Car will see bad roads sometimes and will be driven at high speeds. So are these tyres good for such conditons?
Alarm System --> No idea which one to go for.Let me know and should I get it fixed from the showroom or outside.Motion sensors if present would be an added advantage.
Thanks in advance.

Just make sure you don't take your girlfriend out on a date in the swift. It will soon rattle so much that you won't be able to hear her speak at all. Tell her this and you will be dead .

Congrats on the new car. Swift IMO looks best in white, good choice. Do keep updating this thread.

Since you are going for 938 on the rear , i would recommend , JBL 608c components for the front

For HU , i would say go for Pioneer 3050UB . Without bill and warranty should be around 5.5k

Has USB on front panel and iPod kit from the back.
Better than a sony anyday.

And ya , by the way , Congrats for the new purchase.

Firstly..Let me went
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeha aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

FINALLY FINALLY after a lot of ‘I ll send your showrooms address to the LET’s violence wing’ threats they chickened out and promised a delivery
We hardly slept the night before, the scene at home was like I was getting married..
Reached the stock yard which was in Vasai and a good 2 hours away from our roof.
And there she was..wrapped in ribbons and smiling. Jumped inside and wanted to get on the road asap, but mom was like ‘pooja karvi joiye pela’.Every second seemed like less of road time..I pushed and pulled her inside to get it done with asap.
On the road,I could hardly wait for the 2000 rpm..I had waited for this day since god knows when and now it is finally here.I had such a huge smile on my face that my dad was of the opinion I ll be arrested for mental retardness:P

And there comes 2000 rpm..turbo spooled ready for initiation..mayday..mayday..!!
Holding on to whatever she could to stay in one place, a gear down and again 2000 ,again a twister.
Mom, why so serious ? WHHY SOOO SERIOUS ? Lets put a smile on that face!!
With a scared look she yelled “ You and your turbo can rotate after I m gone'

Whiplash one just went supersonic!!!mayday mayday..!!

Went to Mount Mary after that..everyone were praying for dear life..I was praying for the turbos health..how everyones wants in life are different :P

Pics coming up soon..Already upgraded to ZXI alloys..wanted white ones but could not get them anywhere in mumbai..Tried bangalore..but due to unavoidable circumstances it did not happen. Also got 185/70/R14 Michelin Xm1 +

From the 350 odd kilometers she has run and 200 km after the tank full the Fuel gauge has moved 1/4th..approximately 18 kmpl is what I could make out from the Fuel gauge..could be wrong..I ll full tank and check.

After the tyre upgrade..She is sticks to mother earth like a vaccum cleaner.

Was taking it slow all this while when a fast driven honda city..made me forget the run in..and had a duel with him..from thane to ghatkopar..WHAT FUN MAN..!!!

3500 shifts felt like 'God' was sitting in the bonnet..
Now back to running in and slow and steady..Will post pics tomorrow

Oh Btw..we have decided to name her 'BIG deal'

Thank you everyone for the wishes.

ripper@ Petes..ha ha..i dont think thats happening for sometime atleast.

I was so engrossed in enjoying the beauty that i hardly took pictures, stop the car anywhere or let it slow down for that matter
The rear hatch rattled right from the word go when I took delivery.Took care of it at 300 km.

Also upgraded the tyres to Michelin Xm1 185/70/R14 + and alloys to ZXI alloys.
Got the alloys for 19500 ( 5 entities)
And Tyres along with chrome nuts and chrome valve caps for 15000 including balancing.

With the 185's the grip is phenominal.Sticks to mother earth like a vaccume cleaner.
Although the ride comfort with 165's was more better with 185's its comfortable but not that comfortable.I like my zen's suspension from the comfort point of view much better.

Also i fixed an MPG alarm system from maruti which costed me 6200 bucks and it has impact sensors.Anyone touches the door a little hard it gives a warning, again touches..again a warning ..after which it goes all out.
This is applicable to the boot,Bonnet and all doors.
Rear view mirror anyone opens or closes when the alarm is activated it goes all out in one go.

I am loving it.No one messes with the car.

In 23 days its run like 1700 km already.

Till the first service the rpm was 2500 most of the times with ocassional burts of 3500.
Gave it for service with engine oil change and a coating of some material over the engine and wiring so that rats dont eat it.
Got a bill of 1596.

Initially during the run in,there was a little engine noise at speeds above 120.Mileage was 15 to 16 between 2 full tanks in the city with 90% AC.

After the service there is no engine noise at any speeds. On a recent trip to mahabaleshwar the car did 150's and 160's with total ease and the max done on the trip on the expressway was 175 on the speedo after which i eased off and kept it at 140.

Also one thing i noticed while driving in mahabaleshwar was that instead of the 2000 rpm the turbo gave a kick at 2200 rpm which after we got back to level ground was again back to 2000 rpm.Why ? rarified air ?

While coming back it was the old mahad road and overtaking trucks with turbo spooling after 2000 rpm was like gold standard. First time in my life i loved the truck traffic comming in between so that i could slow down and again experience the rush at 2000 rpm

Mileage on this trip with 5 adults, luggage and 30 % Ac usagage was 19 with never the intention of getting mileage and only fun on the run was on the cards.

Also also the clutch is a little hard and makes my leg ache if i drive it in stop and go traffic for very long. All normal ?

Handling - 10/10
Power - 10/10
Build Quality - 7/10
Mileage - 9.5/10

I could be a little biased but i am totally in awe of this car and never miss any oppourtunity to take her on the road.

Ps: Better pictures comming as soon as i run out of gas on the road and have nothing to do till someone gets gas

Mods: Move this to the right section. Will be updating it as the car runs.
