My Ford Fiesta 1.4L petrol ZXI in Paprika Red colour has done 12000Kms
now in 17 Months time frame.

Statistics.

Services : 1000,3000,5000,10000 Kms

Oil Change : at 5000 and 10000 Km.

Total service cost until now including oil change : Rs.5000

Other costs:
1.Repainting the rear bumper from my local mechanic and painting the
underbody : Rs.1200 ( The paint work is fantastic and very high quality
resembling factory painting)
2. Under body paint : Rs.600
3. Puncture repair: Rs. 120

Problems:
1.A/C vent noise - Ford replaced one vent free of cost
2.very slight noise from right door - dealer added foam during service

Mileage:
The Car returns 11-13KM/L while driving inside city mostly with AC ON.
on Highway I get 16KM/L with 75% AC and with 5 people and Luggage.

I always use BP speed but currently planning to go for normal petrol with
IFTEX system G addition.

I was thinking about synthetic oil but dealer advised to go in for normal oil
until the 2 year warranty(xtented) lapses.

I use to wash the car daily with wet cloth, once a week with formula1
car shampoo, once in 2 months with formula1 liquid rubbing polish and
carnouba wax.

Until now I'm really loving to drive the car and am addcted with it.

will post the photos asap.

Good to see statistics of one of my favorite vehicle.

Post pics if possible.

hi all,

My Ford Fiesta 1.4 Exi (paprika red) has done 25,000km in 2 years. Thankfully, no major service issues. My neighbour has a 1.4 TDCi(new one) who says cornerning gives some knocks on the front suspension, which I too feel sometimes when I take a sharp turn esp on bad roads...

Mileage: 10-11 km in city; 14-15 on highways

A/C: I feel I should tell them the cooling has to be more efficient.. but it's subjective. I live in Mangalore, which is pretty hot and humid anyways.

I also own a Ritz Vdi (brand new), but nothing can match the driving pleasure and luxury of my relatively low-end Fiesta Exi petrol. The build is sturdy, road grip is fantastic and the pickup is great even now.

take care

Congrats Srinivas! Another proof that Ford is not expensive to maintain.

Can you post the location/address/contact of this local mechanic shop for benefit of Chennai members who are on the lookout for an affordable and good quality paint workshop.

I too own Fiesta 1.4 P

Any feedback after moving to normal petrol + system G (as I am planning to do the same). Any improvement / degradation in performance, power, responsiveness, torque, smoothness, etc?

Hi, just joined the forum and was browsing through to see if there were any post regarding my car i.e. Fiesta 1.4. P. I have owned the car for more than 3.5 years now. Its done about 25,000 kms till date. Right from the beginning I have used normal petrol with System G.

The engine runs extremely smooth without any roughness and the pickup is great. As far as fuel economy is concerned there is no discernible difference. There were times when I would run out of System G and would need to tank up with only normal fuel. Its at times like these that the difference between use and non use of system G is most apparent.

My ford fiesta is 1.4 L petrol is nearing 120,000 now. (now at 117,000).

will update soon on the latest details.

hello all,

I just bought a used '07 Fiesta 1.4 ZXI Petrol with 27k on the odo.
Its 6 and half yrs old but feels like new
---
My initial thoughts about1.4 and 1.6 engines-
I've driven my friend's 1.6 petrol for about 6,000km.
My new ride added 200km to her kitty in a span of 2 days

1.4 engine feels very similar to 1.6 and is seriously responsive in all gears just like 1.6. Engine note is close 1.6 but not exactly the same. 1.6 has RAW POWER in its genes. For all practical needs, 1.4 does have enough punch to keep the enthusiast in me smiling
---

Was reading through the posts in this thread and looks like the average mileage hovers around 11 in city and 16 on highways!!

My friend owns a 1.6 SXI Petrol and it returns similar mileage 10.5 in city and 16 on highways.

I would expect 1.4 to return better milage compared to 1.6 as it has a smaller engine tuned for lesser BHP and lesser torque.

Can some experts throw some light on this?
