That is one HOT looking Lancer. Love the paint on it
Lovely Colour Harrie!
Can you put up a few more pics (- under the hood )- especially the intake treatment.
Nice looking car. Is this the car that speedzak had bought from bombay ?

Nope this is what I picked up from bangalore.
City as in Coimbatore - Race Course to the garage and back. About 50kms or so in a day on average.
Lovely lovely lovely looking car!! You are one lucky bugger to be driving in this on an everyday basis!!
Awesome ride dude! What you have under that hood is something that many of us Lancer owners dream of!
I hope you've removed the ad from the classifieds section ;)
Wow awesome harrie. Brilliant looking car.
I got a real stupid query. Were the mivecs available in india or had to be shipped down? This has been pondering me for a while and what better place than here to ask the same.

They are imported. Either you import one yourself, or you buy the car/engine from the original importer.
Your car is absolutely stunning harrie.

nice paint job. cool nostril. is the filter on the same side as the nostril? any issue during rain? sleeper car. more drivability and reliable. Good build. enjoy...

I think you're talking about a different car Abhinav.
The one you saw is a 2-door Mivec done by Arush, and was earlier grey. |
Sorry for the confusion manveet.
I should have been more specefic.
I was talking about the engine alone.

Got it. I thought you jumped to that conclusion because both the cars were orange. My bad.
Hey Harrie congrats on that brilliant ride!!Guess its the right upgrade from the palio 1.6!!
But i am more interested in a comparison between the 1.6 palio and this!!I know it may sound stupid and is not a right comparison but still....
I would say MY palio and the mivec are similar in their power torque character. Only the mivec is like 50% more faster and more intense. Its also a lot more fun to drive bcas of the suspension and tires.
@kutlee the filter is mounted directly on the tb. Its like in the middle of the car. I have a sheet metal ducting to route the cold air to the filter. Have no problems during rains. But in case it pours as in kerela during the monsoon i have a cover for the intake.
since the air is chanelled, water will also be chanelled right? do you have a mesh inside somewhere to avoid getting bugs, bees, and small kids from getting sucked up into the engine bay? I am planning a pair of nostrils and a reverse scoop to throw hot air away. will have to with the repaint job. but recession!!
