HIDs create that beautiful beam spread using the projector assembly. This contains a spherical lens, a bowl mirror and a cut-off plate. Projectors work with Xenons very well because they have single point of origin for all the light, while in regular halogen lamps, the source is a length of filament. This is why HIDs/Xenon bulbs in reflector lamps don't work well - the reflector is not designed for that light source.

Good pics. Somehow I never felt the Verna was good looking, but your pics have made it look very good.

Think its the alloys and the BLACK colour which has made the difference.

Have a great ownership exp. Do keep the thread updated for each milestone.

All the best

@predatorwheelz, what did the G-Sport art leather seats cost ya'?

I believe they have like 3 choices in art leather. What did you get?

Very well written review mate. The photos are also very nice.

I have had my Verna for more than 8 months now and I am yet to put in ICe, Car Seat Covers & Alloys.

Wll do so now.

How much did these Alloys & Seat Covers cost ?

I'm not aware that there are 3 levels in G-Sport. My particular config cost me 7K. Got it done from Glix 2000 in Kolkata.

I had also researched Stanley & Ovion in art leather, but their respective outfits in Kolkata were quoting me 14K and 13K respectively!

I know how much of an effort it is. Thankfully, I employ a nice guy who washes my car (and the alloys) well everyday. He doesnt complain too much about washing them. Plus twice a month I use a special solution to clean the alloys, and a tire spray to clean the tires and keep them cool.

Hehe, my wife had the same opinion about the Mr. Owner photo. She said it was unfortunate that the pic was not taken earlier, when my family was scouting matrimonial columns!

The Alloys cost 19K for 5. I feel the price was a bit steep compared to regular Aura/Neo/HR/Lenso prices (and Yongle is after all another Chinese brand). But I loved the design so much that ultimately I plonked for them.

The seats cost me 7K. The ICE came standard with the SX model.

@predator Great looking car. I'm jealous! I wanted the black!
What are the tire specifications? And you ve added bumper guards too. How do they work? Are they pasted on or do they drill them in or something? I have no idea how they are installed. The seats look gorgeous. Thats the advantage of a black car. You have all sorts of options for interior colour combinations.

Pras the bumper guards are stuck onto the bumper using double-sided foam tape.

wow dude, your car looks great!
I'm usually not a fan of the sedate looking verna, but yours has changed my opinion!
Get some tints, it will add to the look of the car

cheers

Oh! Are they really effective? I mean how much do they protect the bumper during an accident or are they just cosmetic add ons? And in the event of removing the guard, does it spoil the paint on the bumper?
