Yes I do. But I'm yet face these from them. Because my car hasn't done that much and I'm going to question them very heavy with an estimate like that.

regd. mileage of 1.6 Optra

Hi Guys!

I bought a used optra 1.6LS has completed about 63K KM. I get about 9.5 KM/lt on bangalore city and about 12KM/lt on highways (about 100KMPH speed with AC). I use Shell super fuel.

Do you guys suspect any problem with the car since im getting slightly lower mileage?

Regards,
Kumar.

IMO, your city economy figures seem to be quite good. Cant say the same about the highway figure though.

You Mileage figures are undoubtfully good and nothing is wrong with it, as optra being a bit gas guzzler. I too get a decent figure of around 9 km/lt in Delhi city and around 12.5km/lt on highways.

Fair enough But home come Rudraji is able to extract about 15KMPL on his 1.8 L engine ?
Engine oil issues? driving style issues?

Regards,
Kumar

Trust me, I've mastered the art of just touching the gas pedal and get the best out of it. Once in a while I floor it to see needle hitting rev-limiter.. For a stock engine, it sounds heavenly.

Sundaram from day 1 till now, though ol man gets the itch to try new places, on and off. I for one tell him NOT to switch since he has a very friendly relation with Sundaram and they understand his expectations well.
