re: It's White, it's Sports and it's a Mitsubishi Cedia - 189,000 km done! Edit: Sold!

Last week while gentle braking at speeds around 80-100 noticed vibrations on the steering wheel.

Is this due to brakepads or due to the discs?

No issue noticed at normal speeds around 50-60 kmph.

It's the rotors. Mine had the same issue, but the steering used to wobble violently when braking at speeds above 120kmph. Even a gentle tap led to scary shakes.

Did you get original or after market?
Under 20k for changing to Brembos which are better than the oem rotors and pads. Contact details to get them are there in this thread.

SVR wanted 75k for the oem stuff. I told them to take a hike.

Can you give me part number of the original Mitsubishi rotors?
I am mainly interested in the front ones only.

Made some quick inquiry.

Brembo and original pads cost the same Rs. 3000 for the front two sides.

Bremo rotors around Rs. 6800.
Some TRD or TRW (not sure which one) is around Rs. 6000.

I am using Castrol Magnatec 10W 40.
4 lit can costs Rs. 1700-1800. Nothing fancy. Car is now at ~138000 KM

Along with this I am using a Hyundai Santro oil filter - costs Rs. 100-200 (I don't remember now).

This may not be the best, but works fine for me.

--------------------
Now, question>
I have noticed that on idle, the moment I switch on AC, the RPM shoots up from ~800 to ~1100 and the comes down to ~900-1000.

I have not noticed this behaviour earlier.
On low speeds, I can notice the impact of the compressor's action on the speed of the vehicle.

What should be the idle RPM on AC?

Hi, typically when the AC is switched on the engine rpm should settle between 1000 to 1100 rpm. 900 rpm is the idling rpm for the engine.

Mine is shooting up to 1200 on switching on of Ac for a moment before settling to 1000. I don't see any impact on car speed due to Ac.

Attachment 1551393

Only the best caliper grease for my car. Everything cleaned and ready for assembly. Rubber bush on the primary caliper pin had to be replaced since it had worn out.

Attachment 1551400[/quote]

From where you got the permatex grease? I tried every where not available here. Only option is to buy from US.

Folks using synthetic oil, do you still change oil filter every 6 months/10k? Or it's service interval also increases to 12 months/20k?

Hello guys,
I own two Lancers and have the Brembos in one of the car for approximately more than two years now (got it from the same distributor). As per my experience, the OE rotors were way superior to the Brembo ones in terms of quality and especially braking performance.

I was shocked to find that my coolant tank is missing in my car today morning.
Not sure if it was loose and came out unnoticed or someone did it intentionally.
I have never heard of such parts coming out on its own.

Can I run the car without coolant tank for sometime? I will fill coolant in radiator cap to full. Will the dust go inside the radiator?

from where I can source this part? I am sure it will cost a bomb at ASC.
Will this after market part work in cedia
