Seen the car. Dead front view has real good presence.

Viddy, need to shoot this one again. I'm not happy with those rain covered shots.

Congratulations Vid!! Car looks real nice in black!

One question though. You mentioned that Skoda Superb made the Accord look expensive. But then, you didn't go for Superb either (for obvious reasons). So, that must have brought the Accord back into contention? Between Altis and Accord, what tilted the scales in favour of Altis?

Congrats vidyut. She looks hot. The maroon is a terrific colour on the Altis too. Seems like a lot of people are relieved that you finally bought this car. Here's to many happy moments with this car.

*rubs eyes in disbelief*. You really bought a car? I mean, really? Man, everything from the ANHC to the BMW 3 series was on your shortlist. And you took all of 2 years to choose a COROLLA!

Congratulations. Black looks fantastic and, wrt to the car, you really can't go wrong with an Altis. Your father will love its practicality. Out of curiousity, and since your budget was permitting, did ya consider the Fortuner at all? It seems to be a heck of an SUV.

FINALLY.. FINALLY.. FINALLY.

no one i repeat no one has been so fussy about choosing a car. This bugger ,when he met me last summer in Amsterdam said I am contemplating buying a new car to replace the lancer. How he dreamt of a new car and had already started shortlisting the VW's and the Skodas.

Every timewe met on chat I heard a new car added to the list. which was no more a short list . All would agree it been a Loooong list none the less.

Anyways enough of my rants. and Congrats on allegedly the "first black altis in india" whatever.. as if i care.

Congrats on the Black Altis and dare you sell the lancer. find a parking spot , beg ,borrow, steal .

Btw wasn't i also on the list who got bored of endless discussions on what will be your next car.

Enjoy the two 6639's
and be ready to treat next time we meet .

lol. Thanks GTO. Yes the fortuner was on the list but dad wanted a sedan and I wanted something atleast a bit fun to drive. Also the fortuners full 4WD would have been useless for me as the car would be in city only.

Congrats on the new car! It must feel great to have the only black Altis in the whole of India!

Altis looks smashing in black. Why is Toyota not launching it in this colour?

Congrats Vidyut!

Congrats on your buy Vid!

Glad to know that you have got the same number as you had on your Lancer. Black is a stunning color but slightly difficult to maintain and will make people drool if maintained well.

Looking forward to a detailed ownership review from you as the car clocks miles. Please do post some pics of the interior as well.

Cheers,
gpa

The black rubber footmats make a lot of sense. From where are you getting the HSRP done?

I don't think it has been rolled out officially by the RTO in BLR just yet. There is a whole thread on fake HSRPs in the market in the modifications and accessories forum.

Congrats Vid.
Its surely a beauty that looks very understated as also attractive. Black surely must be the best colour for Corolla now. Put up some more pics of this beauty, both exterior as well as interiors.
