Apologies on the OT, but I find that using a flat soled rubber shoe gives me the best response on the throttle, brakes and accelerator.

I use the shoes only for driving as they dont have a lot of cushioning as the sole is thin.

Barefoot is impossible. I just cannot. I just don't like the feel at all from the pedals when barefoot.

Car is really good and the low end torque delivery PERFECT, and the engine note also quite nice when the revs climb ie if Viddy starts driving the car like it should!!!

Well I observed Jaggu drive and he was not getting the car to jump or lag at all.

After that on the way back I tried a few things and found the perfect way to get around the lag or transmission snatch as Jaggu says.

I just tickle the accelerator just before releasing the clutch and things are much better now.

I pushed the car a bit yesterday to around 4000rpm and was amazing fun. The torque is just addictive. The way the car pulls is just effortless. 100kmph is way too easy and you just don't realise how quick and effortless the acceleration is.

Steering wooden insert will get covered with a leather cover from G-sport shortly. The steering is already leather wrapped in the lower half but I'll have to see how to cover the top part.

The dash and door pads I found the dark grey ones but I can only get them on my next trip to US.

Moreover imagine giving a 38L BMW 320d, the ultimate driving machine to a driver who is enjoying driving the car whereas the person who spent that money is sitting in the back seat trying to look comfortable even when there is no legroom but cringing everytime the car goes over a pothole. Sacrilege if you ask me and a sheer waste of the BMW.

What do you guys think of the grey footmats instead of the transparent or the black wala I thought of earlier. Personally I love the grey as it is matching perfectly with the top of the dash.

Picked it up from right next to your office. Thouqeer's shop Car Fancy on Koramangala 80feet road just at the Wipro junction. He had grey and beige. I took the grey and told him if I didn't like it he should order the black.

Luckily the grey turned out perfect. I'll come to know the price tomorrow as I just took it to try.

ps: Just came to know that these mats are very popular and are known as Packy Poda mats.

These mats are available in METRO as well. Cost ~Rs. 600 for a set of four. I have two sets one black and grey and they are just great. Have been using them for over a year now and no tears or brittleness.

They help keep the dirt, mud in place till you can clean at the end of the week.

For some weird reason the fully black ones are slightly more supple than the grey.
