oh thats bad, safari's spare wheel cover is more in demand then its spare wheels which are stolen more andmore then wheels.I guess to get on safer side one needs to lock the wheel covers.

I think for thief even locks will not be detterent.
I am in a double mind to replace!
Might fix an alloy at back too.

or maybe you can get rid of the Tyre at back and put it inside.

Will solve 2 purposes : 1. No chance of getting nicked. 2. No rattles from the rear door.

I am not facing door rattling with my safari yet.
I think alloy will be lighter than stock rim , less probability to rattles

HappyWheels has put a small brass lock on both the zippers of the stepney cover but that doesnt make it completely theft proof, yet it the thief would need at least some sort of a tool to cut the zippers/lock.

I need to check this, but in case there is enough space between the stepney holder/bracket/mount on the rear door and the door to put one's hand through, then a hole could probably be drilled in the thick plastic placeholder that goes into the stepney from the stepney cover and a rod could be pushed through the hole and a lock could be fitted at one end of the rod and the other end could be fashioned to either have a fatter end than the hole or a locked/welded nut in place.
It all depends on the space available.

STDCHK looks like "Standard Check". But isn't standard checkup supposed to be done anyways?

Thanks Ram.

I think for off-roading cladding w/o painting is better. The risk of scratches are more on these cladding and bumpers. I might do it once the plastic starts fading or dull.

Fuel filter change is required at 30k only unless its an older one which needs replacement at 15k, did they check the part no for the existing fuel filter ??

Most of the cleaning etc is covered under the standard serviec, you should get the refund.

Dadu,
They are saying it should be changed every 15k service. I too had doubts. But as per service book, it every 15k. They showed me.
I had raised a complaint for the same on tata website regarding STD CHK. I am waiting for the update.

"did they check the part no for the existing fuel filter ??" - Can you clarify more on this. What is the order on means ?

You can again raise a complaint for the same, if they didnt get/ read the circular its their problem. Have a look at the post below.

If Fuel filter has the Part no : 253409110117, it should be changed only after 30k run.
